“I went to three consultations before deciding to go through with a breast augmentation with Dr. Connall in 2023 and 2024. The second surgeon actually recommended him to me because Dr. Connall has more experience with larger and more complex breast augmentation cases.

I have a chest wall deformity called pectus excavatum that I really wanted to mask. I used to be an A and B cup, but my right breast never filled a bra because my chest wall is sunken in on that side.

I wanted to mask the appearance of my chest wall deformity and also have larger breasts, but I am also very slender and petite. I appreciated the time Dr. Connall took to measure the width of each side of my chest individually, the distance down to my nipples, and use digital imaging to get an idea of how different sized implants might look on me. We needed to take into account the narrow width of my chest (some implants were too wide and would end up in my armpits) and the step-off between my left and right side while preserving the integrity of my breasts.

Dr. Connall took the time to listen to my wants and desires while also being realistic about my anatomy. It was clear that he truly cared about my wellbeing, which is in stark contrast to the first surgeon I saw who overpromised really large implants that would certainly not fit my chest physically. That surgeon never measured anything and wanted to go over-the-muscle, which is an old school method that isn’t preferred for slim people (implant rippling). Under-the-muscle is also better because your muscles cradle the implant, keeping it perkier for a longer time.

In 2023 I got under-the-muscle silicone Sientra Xtra High profile on the right side and Moderate profile on the left side (just to demonstrate how bad the step-off was between the two). They looked SO good and were such an improvement in terms of symmetry. However, the left looked a little bit too conservative, and it didn’t have the “wow” factor when I tried to push it up like the right side did. The right side was the bad side before surgery, and now it was my favorite, haha.

In 2024 I had the left side swapped to a Moderate Plus, which is one profile higher than Moderate. This was the way to go, because now they matched beautifully.

Recovery was smooth for both surgeries. I followed all directions given to me and would refer back to them as the weeks went on. Dr. Connall and his team were very communicative and happy to answer any and all questions I had. I used a scar cream that they sold in-office, and I feel like it greatly improved the appearance of my incision scars.

I attached a photo of how they look now without a bra. They are pretty darn symmetrical with and without clothes, and they’re big for my frame without looking crazy in my opinion. I think they suit me well and match my preferred aesthetic.
