My husband and I decided to create a bubbler fountain for the hummingbirds in our yard. We already have several fountains that blue jays and larger birds love to use. After researching online, we found Gem Rock and Landscaping Farm, located on Stafford Road. They have an incredible selection of rocks. Tony, the owner, was very low-key and helpful. This is our first project, but it won’t be our last. It’s a wonderful local business that has been around for over 18 years. We highly recommend that you check them out for your next project.
A friend told me that this place has wonderful leaf/pig compost that works great in vegetable gardens. I pulled in just before closing today to inquire about getting a yard or two of compost in the near future. They had signs up stating 'sourdough available today'... of course I picked up a loaf, and it was hands down the most incredible sourdough loaf I've ever had. The folks I talked to were real people who clearly have their feet firmly planted on the ground. There were super friendly chickens mulling about everywhere too. Really looking forward to returning in a few days to get a bunch of compost. This is the kind of energy I want in my garden
