Fantastic spot for kid’s eye care. We have a complicated kiddo and Dr. Hartman was incredibly kind and patient with him. I highly recommend her and the team at Sunflower Vision Care.
My grandson's had an eye exam today and it was a wonderful experience, thank you!!
I am so happy we found Sunflower Vision Care. My son has always had trouble finding things. He’s only 5 but I could tell that something was going on. He had a regular vision exam and his acuity was fine. I could tell, though, that something was wrong. It there are other objects around he couldn’t find things he was looking for. We went for a full comprehensive vision screen with Dr Hartman and found that he indeed had some other things going in with his vision that I don’t claim to fully understand. We started going for therapy and the difference has been absolutely remarkable! He can find things now, and can finally recognize letters!! He was not able to do that before, and as a teacher that is something he is constantly exposed to. I am fortunate for my experience because I could tell that something was not clicking with his vision. If you have any concerns for your child or they are having trouble with reading it’s a good idea to get a comprehensive screen just to rule out a vision problem. It turns out that reading is a lot more complicated than having good vision acuity. The eyes have to work together, you have to be able to have good eye movement, you have to track the letters, and all kinds of other things. My son can do all kinds of things he couldn’t do before: find letters, find his shoes (hallelujah), my husband watches soccer and now he can actually find the ball, he can do mazes and hidden picture games. If you have any questions, call up Dr. Hartman and talk to her. She is wonderful. I feel like my child will now actually be able to learn to read. I’m so relieved.
