Yoga riot is a welcoming, cozy space with a great community of teachers and students! My body always feels great after class and the teachers are sure to remind everyone to make any modifications needed. The space is small so be prepared to sweat close to strangers!

I have been practicing yoga on and off for at least a decade. For me, yoga is more than just moving your body or learning and practicing the philosophy that makes yoga so special because finding a space in order to be comfortable to practice, to make mistakes, to feel empowered or emotional is not always an easy combination to find when the yoga market in Portland is very saturated. YogaRiot embodies all of the above. They are true on their word when they share that they are a place for all bodies and all people and to simply practice love and kindness. I feel honored to have randomly stumbled upon this studio where I can practice regularly. Best random stumble <3

As a fat person who has navigated many fitness spaces over the past 10-15 yesss, YogaRIOT is the only place I’ve felt so safe, comfortable, and completely non judged for my body or abilities. The coaches are incredibly warm and inviting, they are consistently offering various ways to do movements, and regularly remind us that using blocks is GOOD for your body and not a weakness in your abilities. I just hit 50 classes and have noooo plan of leaving anytime soon. I’m so happy with this space and the community it’s formed.
