I have waited over a year to schedule any beauty services (due to being immunocompromised) and 100% my visit to Salon Lumina was worth the wait. I felt very safe and well taken care of the entire time... a period for the salon to be empty was scheduled before and after my visit. Only my stylist (Anne S.) and myself were present the entire time and we were both masked.In addition to being immunocompromised I am also autistic and Anne was very good at communicating with me about my desired haircut and paid attention to my concerns about texture and comfort (and not just how it looked, which still turned out great).This was the perfect thing to have splurged on as things...read full review

I always look forward to my haircuts at Salon Lumina with Dee Dee. I have wavy hair and she knows how to work with it to make me look my best, and nicely in alignment with how I like to see myself. She helps me look professional, but I don't like looking "styled" and she keeps that in mind while giving me a great look. She is also an artist with color and weaves; and she avoids the use of harmful chemicals. Located in the heart of Hollywood near Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, the salon is pleasant, with good things to read, wifi, and convenient parking spots.

Dee Dee @ Salon Lumina has been cutting my hair for years! When I recommended her to a friend, we discovered there were no YELP reviews. How could that be? Dee Dee Simmons works wonders for my challenging curly hair. Dee Dee is attentive and responsive to her clients needs. She is happy to offer advice and suggestions. The salon is low key, comfortable, and the conversation is always interesting. Pricing is reasonable and the results are always excellent.
