The experience was EPIC. Michelle is a hair wizard and offered the perfect amount of woo woo to make me feel relaxed, supported, and seen. The appointment started with a loving and tender consultation where she offered an archetype quiz to help me decide how I wanted to FEEL in my new hair and helped me set an intention for transformation. She also invited me to make the first symbolic cut, which I gladly and eagerly accepted. The hair wash was not only a physical cleanse, but a spiritual one that included reiki, a guided meditation, and sound bath! To close the appointment, she encouraged me to write down some things I wanted to shed/no longer serving on a slip of paper and we burnt it with a small lock of hair to release it. My new mane feels fresh, free, and totally me. I am so grateful to have found this place and I'm never going anywhere else for a haircut.

I have seen Isabella several times now for both cuts and color, and every single time I walk out feeling happy, confident, and truly satisfied. I can be quite indecisive and often struggle to visualize what I want, but Isabella has an amazing ability to ask the right questions and really listen. She never pushes or persuades me into something I’m unsure about. Somehow, we always end up on the same page, and the result feels exactly right for me.
Beyond her technical skill, Isabella has such a kind, calm, and grounded presence that every appointment feels like a little wellness treatment rather than just a hair service. It’s genuinely something I look forward to - a moment to relax, feel taken care of, and leave refreshed.
I also have very sensitive skin, and her choice of products has been a game changer for me. I’ve never experienced rashes or itchiness, and I even started using the products she recommended at home. Since then, my hair has noticeably more volume and feels healthier overall.
On top of that, Isabella is very intentional about using organic, sustainable, and chemical-free products, which I truly appreciate.
If you’re looking for a hairstylist who is talented, patient, attentive, and genuinely cares about her clients’ well-being, I couldn’t recommend Isabella more highly.

Every time I get the honor of coming to see Isabella it’s a treat. I’ve followed her from salon to salon throughout the years (yes she’s worth it) and Ritual Beauty Collective is a fave. The space is GORGEOUS. I’m not sure who maintains their plants but it must be almost as time consuming as doing hair haha. As a fellow plant lover I’m so jealous. Ritual’s bathroom is always clean, the accessories and products they choose to sell are amazing. It’s clear the owner really pours their heart and soul into this place and it shows.

Michelle is a dream to work with! She's been tending to my mop a few years now and I look forward to being in her chair. I always leave feeling more nourished than when I came in (where else will you have a stylist put a crystal eye mask on you and share reiki and tuning fork eneries with you as part of the shampoo and rinse part of the program?). Highly recommend getting a scalp facial in the dry season too.

I had my first appointment with Jill Mock the other week for a haircut and style and wow, BEST haircut I've ever had! Jill is a master with layers and textures and she made my wavy hair frame my face perfectly! Love how easy my haircut is too! Two weeks and several washes later, my hair looks great with minimal work/styling on my part. Absolute dream cut!
On top of being an expert in her discipline, Jill is also an incredibly warm, kind, and funny human. Just an absolute treasure to spend time with. As a tr@ns women, she made me feel absolutely seen, validated, and welcome. All of that is also a credit to the salon itself which was super cute with just a wonderful vibe overall. You could tell that all the other stylists/clients were having as equally awesome of a team as I was.

I had to stop in Portland just to get my hair cut by Jill Mock! She gives the best razor cuts, adorable shag cuts, and my fine curls always look so much happier after seeing her! I had been going to her for over a decade in Chicago — Portland is lucky to have her! She listens to what you are after and she’s a master of her craft.

Jeni came to a friend’s home and gave facials to me and my friends for my birthday. She set up a peaceful space in one of the rooms, and we each took turns getting pampered. It was such a relaxing experience—Jeni made everyone feel comfortable, calm, and cared for. The whole thing was wonderful and such a special way to celebrate!
