“I've been taking my Australian Labradoodle there 2 days a week for a year now, and she absolutely loves it there. She is so excited at the entrance and to see the staff.Everyone there is professional, friendly, and show they care about their guests. They also work hard to keep the place clean.The owner does a great job of balancing everything (safety, prices, hours, procedures, etc.). “This hidden gem is worth the appointment. We have a large double doodle and 2 small shedless dogs. Nothing but amazing haircuts and kind words of "you need to brush your dog more" . My smaller dogs don't like being groomed except here...not even at my own home. Knowledgeable and willing to work around our schedules as well. He also has some high end grooming gear, things I'm jealous of having 3 dogs in constant need. The style is breed specific as well, other groomers generally have there "main cut" that they apply to all breeds, not here! . They also use a mild scent shampoo, we are particular about fragrance and their choice is mild and perfect.“

“The prices are definitely higher than other dog hotels and boarders. However, the price of this establishment feels more like an investment than paying for a service.Firstly, the facilities are clean and well organized. It’s a step above in every way from the status quo. It is definitely a dog hotel.My dog Mili is a formerly abused animal. She’s getting older and is generally more anxious than other dogs. Historically, she has a harder time with certain dogs vs others. She even used to bite people when she first was rescued.They interviewed her to cater to her needs and helped her bridge the gaps in her social skills. She definitely likes the more relaxed and older group of dogs and she always has anxiety in meeting new people. By the end of the day and on returning visits, she looks forward to spending time with the staff.They were perfect in their interactions with my dog and impeccably professional with me.This staff has built my trust with them as well as have helped develop my dogs ability to trust others both human and canine. They made things happen that I didn’t think was possible. I am more than satisfied.“

“As a Canadian who often travels to Portland to visit family and friends, I couldn’t be happier to have found Original Bark! The staff at Original Bark were beyond helpful with answering all of my questions and helped assure me that their facility would take great care of my pup while he was there. The staff are so caring, friendly, and kind, the facility is clean and spacious, and access to the webcams to check in with your pup was easy to navigate and use. I will definitely be using Original Bark again the next time I visit Portland and would definitely recommend them!“

“I have used Meowhaus twice now. I boarded an eighteen year old cat with them recently. I felt confident he would get good care. Having 'outdoor time' in the office and finches to watch during the day helped to keep him from getting depressed. Staff are kind and very interested in cat wellbeing. I would recommend either site for boarding a cat.“
