Dr. Berkshire was great: caring, thorough, good-humored. However, the office was consistently disorganized. Appointments were confused and inaccurate. No one ever confirmed or could tell me what I would owe at each appointment. Months after my treatment ended I got three invoices for over $300 which was a surprise (and I thought we weren't' supposed to be surprised by medical bills anymore?).
My doctor is one of the two best doctors I've ever had, BUT I'm only giving Kwan Yin 3 stars because of two major problems. The first is their billing department is an absolute nightmare to deal with (not my doctor's fault, but still extremely frustrating). The second is that even when you are seriously ill and need to speak with your doctor, you CANNOT because emails and phone messages go unanswered and when you try to get an appointment, the front desk just tells you "leave a message on your doctor's voicemail and the doctor will get back to you", which I've discovered over the last five years is NEVER a way to get hold of your doctor.... read full review
Dr. Emalee Knudsen at Kwan-Yin Healing Arts is incredible! I've been very fortunate to see her over the past year and my life is so much the better for it. She immediately took the time and effort to hear and address my concerns, concerns that had previously been overlooked or minimized. Her holistic approach of using both naturopathic and "modern medicine" (for lack of a better term) has been invaluable, and I'm really grateful for her care and how she has connected me to other treatments I needed.
