What can I say about Libby other than she is simply the best! Here we were, having our first baby in the middle of a pandemic where our friends and family couldn’t travel to be with us. Amazing Libby to the rescue! She brought warmth and calm into our home and was diligent about social distancing, hand-washing, mask-wearing, and communicated with such empathy for our situation that it made me feel (less crazy -like you do) and fully supported and loved. It's an intense experience coming home with your newborn. You don’t think about it during pregnancy because there is so much planning about the birth, but BOOM, once that is over – you find yourself driving home sore and exhausted with a one-day-old. And I was so thankful to know Libby was there and ready to help. She was exactly who we needed. When I was anxious and worried about the state of our country she was easy to talk to, when we had specific questions she provided evidence-based answers that put me at ease. She gave me critical lactation advice and support that has served me throughout my daughter's first year of life. She helped me with cooking meals, daily chores, and watching my baby so I could get some fresh air. I enjoyed her peaceful, grounded company immensely. I cannot imagine anyone else providing the postpartum care nor can I imagine going through those first few months of my daughter’s life without her.
