Came home to find furnace not igniting, found Ben’s to be local and well-reviewed, called Sunday evening, they were here Monday morning, fixed by 10:45am. Couldn’t ask for better. Part felt a bit expensive ($800 for a replacement gas controller valve) but also it’s a thing that could do very bad things if it fails in the wrong way so plausible for it to cost more for that reason. 🤷♂
TL;DR 5 stars! My neighbor recommended Ben’s for HVAC work and I wanted to have my very old furnace inspected before winter shows up. I called in the afternoon and they sent out Spencer first thing the next morning. He gave me a call 20mins before his arrival, was very friendly, got to work promptly and recommended replacing a worn part that would likely fail in the near future, which he fortunately had in the truck. He explained in detail why the part should be replaced, and even showed me what was worn, so I learned something new today. Ben’s has helped me with a broken furnace, adding AC and annual check ups. Joe did a great job today. He helped me get better filters for my set-up and assured me all is well.
