About Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Ontario
Saint Alphonsus Medical Center is a 4-hospital health system serving Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada communities. Patients describe a lovely experience where staff showed no quarms about a patient leaving for a son's birthday. The hospital provides supportive and helpful nurses who explain everything and ask if patients are comfortable with the plan. Deliveries are smooth and staff are wonderful to work with. The only issue noted was a shift change, which was an understandable human error. Every person is kind, professional, and empathic, giving great care to the absolute limits of their ability. ER visits are met with compassion and speed, with nurses and doctors who do not leave patients to rot. Surgery patients report an amazing experience, with very very nice staff who make the day, even when feeling depressed and nervous. Dr. Gilbert and the entire nursing staff are amazing, taking care of patients quickly, with Dr. Gilbert described as one of the nicest, most compassionate medical professionals ever met. One patient noted a shocking difference in treatment at the spine clinic in Nampa, surprised both locations are owned by the same people.
I just had my first baby here on 7/21. I had the best experience I could have imagined. I started my care at St Lukes in Meridian and was dismissed twice with severe pain at 38 weeks pregnant. After driving an hour to meridian twice I decided to come to Ontario and within an hour of being there they realized I had a kidney infection and kidney stones on top of my contraction pain. They admitted me and got my epidural started within 45 minutes. I loved each person in my care team. I started with dr Lutter (sp?) as he was on call and then got switched to dr Mairs. Just had my baby here and it was a wonderful experience for me I couldn't have imagined better.
I was extremely nervous and scared to have my first baby and the Doctor's, Nurses, Techs, and Lactation consultant were amazing.
Dr Davenport was so wonderful and took great care of me and my baby she explained everything to me and took time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable. Ashley, Emma and Kayla were wonderful nurses they did such a great job, everyone was so helpful and kind.
10/10 made my birth the most amazing experience and I am so grateful.
I had my surgery preformed here and every step of the way was great. First they were the first to call after the referrals were sent, and communication was excellent all the way through. from scheduling with the doctor, to scheduling the procedure, to the billing department giving us estimates before the procedure so we knew what to expect, It was all very easy.
The day of the procedure the nurses who worked with me were Denisha, Hazel, Carla, Petti, and Cole. They were excellent, easy to talk to, listened to any concerns, were very respectful, I never felt rushed, and every step was explained before hand.
