About Samaritan Evergreen Hospice - Coast
Based on reviews, Samaritan Evergreen Hospice - Coast had mixed experiences. Karen and Carolyn out of Newport took amazing care of a patient, putting the family at ease. However, other nurses showed a lack of compassion and were ghosts after a patient passed. Missy the social worker and the grievance counselors were great. Overall, some described it as the caring and best hospice on the west coast.
The nurses both Lynn and Keeley took care of my husband for 5 days. When my husband passed they were ghosts. They didn't have the common courtesy to call and say I'm sorry for your loss. It was unbelievable. They are in the wrong line of work if they don't care about the patient they are supposed to be helping. I tried making excuses for their lack of compassion but their are no excuses. However, Missy the social working was and is great and the grievance counselors we're right their for me if I needed them. Everyone did a great job except the nurses.
Wonderful folk, very helpful, informative, and insightful, they bend over backwards, to help, in difficult situations, THANK GOD, FOR HOSPICE, AND THEIR WONDERFUL STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS, MAY THE GOOD LORD, BLESS YOU ALL, IN ALL WAYS.
