I hate to even write this, because giving a 5-star rave review - as Jephthah absolutely deserves for his delightful personality and amazing hair-coloring skills when working with this silver-topped old lady! - might just make more people go to him...so I really need to think this through more before posting a review... Ooops!!!!

I’ve been seeing Liza, the owner of the salon, for over 20 years. Even for the decade I was living on the east coast I would include a color session with her with every trip home to Portland. I’ve tried other high end salons in Boston and New York, and no one does color and cut like Liza. She is a true artist and will not compromise on your hair. Be prepared for long thorough appointments, she does not skip steps with the color process, and ensures your hair will look it’s best. She is a skilled professional with a passion for her profession. She is the best colorist I’ve ever seen.
