Extremely overpriced for the services provided. I had root touch up at 10.30 left with wet hair at 2 pm bc simply couldn’t be there that long anymore. My head was itching the whole day. Person who dyed my hair didn’t even think that it needs to be shampooed after he just washed off the dye which was left for too long. All my skin around my face, cheeks, ears, neck were in dye. But my hair is still gray. I paid $45 and 3,5 hours for what I could have done better job of myself at home. Honestly I did a better job dying my mom’s hair when I was 11. I took pics today on Saturday and had services I think Wednesday or Thursday. Gray hair is visible and dye is still partially on my ear and cheek even tho I have been scrubbing every day. Washed hair once since the appt and had to put aloe to stop the itching on the scalp. Absolutely don’t recommend hair services here. Also one person on the phone was pretty rude I even had to ask her to take it easy as I’m just a customer who’s trying to make an appt and don’t know their schedules. Another time I called was a younger lady she was polite and nice but the other lady is just terrible impatient, rude and it’s like I called her to sell something rather I’m calling to the advertised business to make an appt. She’s the first person everyone encounter and she makes first impression of the school overall and it’s not a great experience. I saw they give a gift for leaving a review I was debating about it but honestly my experience was terrible and I want ppl to avoid it regardless of the gift I could’ve received.

I have been coming to Phagan's for haircuts for decades. On Saturday June 13th, I had a haircut appointment with Belle. I always bring a picture of what I am thinking as a guide for the student. A male instructor who never introduced himself to me came over and asked what I was thinking. He said my hair was not long enough for that style. He proceeded to let Belle know how to cut my hair. She sprayed down my hair and used clips to separate the hair. She went to find the instructor who was in the next row and was cutting a lady's hair with 3 students observing. Belle kept trying to get his attention to have him guide her for my haircut, and he just kept cutting that lady's hair. I even turned around in my chair, and he ignored me. Belle finally was able to find the other instructor to help her. This was not what expected from Phagan's

I love going here and interacting with the students. We all started somewhere and these persons are there now. Friendly professional and guided by instructors as well as follow-up.

I had to come to the Portland area for minor surgery. On 3/7 I carefully scheduled my post-op recovery to occur at Phagans to give me the 2 hours of necessary recuperation time before driving 6 hours back to Grants Pass. Everything went smoothly to start. I made it to PDX on time; the shuttle from the mall to Kaiser, right on time; pre-arranged Uber to Phagens, right on time. Phagens however is where it all fell apart. The young man who scheduled my appointments apparently failed to put them in the computer. So now here I sit, in the uncomfortable waiting room, trying to keep the light out of my eyes. I get that it’s a school but the lack of professionalism here is astonishing. The receptionist smirked throughly our interaction. “Luck will leave you. Everything on your way will twist into the opposite of your wishes. So be it, so shall it be.”

First time coming here and I am so pleased with the haircut!! I just had a simple $10 haircut line up and was taken care of by Tarahjo, absolute queen and knew exactly what she was doing. I felt very comfortable and really loved the results after, she gave awesome advice and helped me out. Truly will come back!

Have been here around 4 or 5 times now and they are so great here! Skilled students with great Instructors guidance to oversee all. My hair is always nicely done & it’s a fun experience!
