I worked for NYC for two summers in the late ‘90s. I had a great experience and feel that it helped me learn work ethic, appreciate the outdoors, and teamwork. The pay was far from great but I got great value out of learning to work with others, learning what hard work is, and spend time outdoors; I also think a little adversity helped me become a better me.

I did a summer session 20 years ago and I still use the skills and work ethic I learned at NYC to this day. What a wonderful impression this program had on me and all these years later I think back on the trail and the work of it daily. Highly recommend the summer sessions for all teens!
