As a parent of a small child, I'm not a gym person. We got introduced to Elements in West Eugene from taking swim lessons with Park. Park is wonderful with kids. I love that his program is focusing on water safety and building confidence. My daughter was terrified with deep pool that she couldn't touch the bottom. She now is able to dive into the deeper pool to retrieve items and knows to flip on her back to safely recover when she's tired from swimming. I can't speak for the gym equipment and the customer services since I'm not a member. but the pool and locker room are both very kids friendly. Overall great gym. New equipment, friendly staff, lots of amenities, clean gym, locker room, and hot tub. Only complaint is that the steam room is always down and the soap in the men's showers is usually out.
Friendly staff and great amenities yet the cleanliness of the place and equipment maintenance has leaves much to be desired.The only cleaning I have seen staff complete is removing garbage and hanging up locker room mats. I've been on multiple days and hours throughout the week and have never seen staff disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, etc. the place clearly smells and looks unkempt.The men's locker room, I don't believe has ever been sanitized. It's almost an anomaly that I haven't got a staph infection or some other disease due to the amount of time I've spent using the facilities.The steam rooms in multiple locations have been down for several months now with no estimate...read full review
