John runs a tight ship. We used him/Ascot for 2 jobs including a full renovation. Our house is top notch, flawless kitchen installation, lovely crown mouldings, etc.More recently we had a plumbing issue and John’s outfit recommended Wes from Wes Plumbing. He was also super - telling us that he will stay as long as he needs to get the job done well and so it doesn’t need to be corrected again. I recommend Ascot 100%.
Tony and his team were very professionals, clean job, very friendly and they went beyond. My fence is looking new again with the new posts. They took the time to do the job that Tony promised me. They took only 1 and 1/2 days (others were quoting me 2-3 days). If I need another project, I know I’ll be calling Tony again.

Very pleased with Manos! He came in to check on why my ceiling had water damage and discovered that my original contractors hadn't properly installed and vented our bathroom ceiling fans so moisture was collecting in the roof. He was quick to provide a quote; we agreed and found a start date; and that was it! He was in an out in a day and our bathroom fans work wonderfully. I'll call on Manos and team the next time I have a project or repair job :)Very reliable; I know he did a good job as he takes pride in a job done well. I've been coming here regularly (past 2 years) for alterations—mainly to hem my pants and T-shirts—and they always do an outstanding job. The quality is consistently top-notch. Stitches are perfectly straight and clean with no loose threads in sight and they always match the thread to the fabric so well that you’d never know the piece had been altered.
They clearly take pride in their work and it shows in the attention to detail. You do pay a bit more than some other places (maybe $5 more) but it’s absolutely worth it for the reliability and craftsmanship. Highly recommend if you want your clothes handled with care and precision. Just a tip, if you pay in cash, they are more flexible with pricing.

They definitely have been doing a great job with that. Im happy because I finally found a place where my hair is treated properly and for a great price.

Over the years I've been to a lot of different barber shops with various rates and different experiences, I'm happy to say this experience was next level. I had Isaac a my barber and his attention to detail and meticulous nature really impressed me.
He asked me several questions to ensure that my hair was cut the way I envisioned and he worked with me to give me an awesome haircut. I especially liked how they went a step further with the warm towel on the face and ensuring that every detail was cleaned up. It really did feel like a next level experience.

I have been going to this salon since 2021, I was in search of a Salon close to me and I found Family hair and Nails studio, convenient, close, clean, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant and accommodating. I get a manicure, pedicure as well as my eyebrows waxed and cleaned up, my beard shaped up and trimmed and while you’re getting your pedicure you sit in the massage chair which brings the experience to the next level, you should definitely check them out you deserve to be pampered and they will do just that, I have recommended them to co-workers and friends and so far we are all happy with this service?????

I loved my experience at Oscar's! Crystal is the sweetest, funniest nail tech ever! Beyond talented. Took my barely there nail beds and gave me the most beautiful hands. I was so embarrassed of the state of my hands, and she gave me so much confidence.
Lynn also is a gifted nail tech, she gives the fasted pedi in a pinch. Very professional and kind. Lynn remembered me and my daughter and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable.

I am blown away in the best way possible by Rebecca. I had a bad experience with another MUA for a bridal trial, and I was super worried I wouldn't be able to find a MUA for my upcoming wedding.
I contacted Rebecca, who was responsive right away, was super lovely, accepted my request for a phone call where I could ask her questions, and booked my bridal trial with her. She was super lovely, taking the time to understand my wants, and asked me for inspiration looks so she can really grasp what I wanted to look like for my special day. Of course I had to book her for my wedding!
The other thing I really love about her talent is that she is able to give you an almost air-brushed makeup look, and she doesn't have a heavy hand, which is super important! I was able to feel my skin, and never felt cakey.
During the whole process she was super organized, creating a makeup chart for me during our bridal trial so the day-of would go smoothly. She was punctual (arriving earlier for set up than her original ETA which was fantastic), responsible, compassionate, and the funniest story teller.
The makeup she did for me during our trial was exactly what I got for my wedding day (see photos of trial and day-of). Rebecca also made sure to shimmer me up in my dress before I went off to do my first look. I truly couldn't have picked a better person to do my makeup, and I am hoping to work with her again in the future ?

I was looking for a new stylist to do my hair, the person I went to for years retired. I remembered a friend from school had a family run salon. I booked an appointment and saw that there was also laser hair removal present!! I had been meaning to do it for a while and went ahead. Shirley the owner and operator of Scarlett laser is GREAT! She's professional, explains things so easily and made me feel so at ease with every treatment. She's so knowledgeable!! I had been told years ago that I wasn't a candidate for laser but Shirley set me straight - she explained it wonderfully. Like a true professional she's up to date with the practices and technology. I also started to do my hair with Pilar. She's a wonderful woman - and great not only on style but colour too!! I hadn't been to a stylist in years and I asked her to suggest a cut and colour. You can tell she takes pride in her work. It's not only experience it's talent and great eye for style that cannot be learned - you either have it or you don't. Recently my grandma died and for years my mother had gone to the same stylist for years when I finally convinced her to give Pilar a try. Once Pilar was done with mom's hair - I saw mom actually look at herself in the mirror and smile ? For years I hadn't seen her like that. She was admiring her new cut for days she said she "Felt like a new woman". Suffice it to say Pilar made another lifetime client that day ❤ I highly recommend both businesses.

The whole process exceeded my expectations and the job was completed on time and on budget. The whole renovation was handled very professionally with same main point of contact all the way through from job scope and material selection to installation. The installers and trades were all very experienced and kept things as neat and tidy as possible at the end of each day. Any issues that came up during the process were dealt with quickly, including flexibilty in working with multiple schedules and within the rules of condominium corporation (no small task in my opinion).
Overall, an excellent experience.

The company has my condos maintenance contract, and a lot in the downtown area. I have dealt with this company for emergencies and non emergencies for 5 years now in my 30 yearold condos. Never been an issue, other than some nighttime emergencies having a premium (Which is cheaper than a home insurance claim).

Jason and his highly skilled team (Jerry/Ilie) did a PHENOMENAL job in updating the entire house wiring from knob and tube. We couldnt have dreamed for better. The level of excellence and care exceeded my every expectation. I will be using Jason and his team on any future electrical projects. We now live worry free and can actually use appliances without blowing out the electricity for half the house. We are eternally grateful.

Really happy with the luxury vinyl install in my condo. Despite redoing my entire two bedroom unit, the work only took three days and required minimal cleanup after the work was finished. We had planned to redo our basement and make it more functional. The team at Home Guru were able to see my vision and help suggest better ideas for use of space and made it a place. My whole family loves to use. While living in the space during the construction, the crew was so kind and respectful. It was a great process.
We needed our old uneven concrete basement floor dug out, levelled, waterproofed and new concrete poured. We had two on-site visits in order for the company to confirm that they could access the site properly before they provided a quote - this was a reassuring step. Once work started, communication with Ajord was excellent - he was site foreman for a few jobs so periodically popped in and out, but was always available on phone/text/email. Roman was the "concrete guy" and he is the first trades person I've worked with who took the time on day one to properly introduce himself and walk me through all of the steps of the job so that I knew what to expect - this made a massive difference to how comfortable I felt and the trust I had in his work. All of the labourers worked quickly, cleanly and professionally. I was worried about their need to use our basement window for all removal of materials, however it was protected well and no damage was done. We had an issue that some of the old concrete had not been entirely removed where it met the wall (which would have protruded out above the new floor), but once pointed out, Ajord had a team member return to fix the issue. We experienced some delays with the concrete supply, but this appears to be a provincial/national(?) issue ongoing due to the pandemic. In the end the job only took 3 days on-site - but 2 weeks total because of the delay. Again, communication was good regarding the delay. I would recommend this company

I definitely would like to give a solid 5 star review to Davis and strongly recommend him to others! I called Davis after I have seen red spots on my body, itchy and painful, which I am afraid that I was bitten by bed bugs, or cat’s flea. Davis gave me really good guidance to check my bed, my sofa, he even asked to see my picture of red spots. He is very experienced and honest to help me instead of simply wants business/$, so he confirmed not bed bugs at all. He recommended me to take cats to vet instead of charging me to do whole house chemical treatment if not necessary. I hope I can pay his service as described above. He charged nothing. All the best to Davis’ business! Leaving a honest review is the only thing I can do! :)
They came at exactly the arranged time and were quick in getting ahead with the task of the day. They set the traps needed to capture the raccoons and advised me on what to do to make sure I don't attract more of these animals to my home. Their service is great and I had a good time with them. WOW, WOW,WOW!!!! Dave & Debra are absolutely top notch. I have taken, my now, 15 year old cat to them for the past 3 years. Porky actually snuggles into Debra, as she us being shaved. She also snuggled right up to Dave, as he ever so gently placed her back in her taxi cab. Porky, is a long haired calico, who Matt's badly. I always get the Lion cut & she couldn't be cuter. She loves the grooming, bath & best of all? She loves Debra & Dave. Their rates are very reasonable. These two are the bomb. If you are unable to make it to your appointment, a phone call is greatly appreciated. They are a small business & can only fit in so many of our "kids" a day. Try to give notice so another fur baby can take your spot!! You will not be disappointed with these two!!

If I could give Triumph Academy more than 5 stars, I would! My experience with Stanisa was so positive, especially since I was nervous about learning to drive as an adult. He gave me the skills and confidence I needed to feel comfortable on the road and pass my exam on my first try. Stanisa is a great instructor who stays calm, explains things clearly, and has a good sense of humour. Olga was also so easy to coordinate and schedule with. A fantastic team – I cannot recommend them enough :)
