The British Groomer

Hannah is wonderful with my large apprehensive doodle.

After searching for a while to find someone willing to work with my dog to get his nails trimmed, someone recommended The British groomer. I took my dog to get his nails done for the first time after trying to find a place that will accommodate him as he’s aggressive towards getting his nails trimmed. Hannah was so patient with him as he was giving us a very hard time, she gave great suggestions for upcoming appointments and was very professional. Highly recommend The British groomer, coming from a very defeated dog owner that couldn’t find someone to work with him. Thank you for everything.

Hannah is great! We absolutely love her and Harley always looks so handsome when we pick him up :) Great prices, accommodating and the drop in nail trims are the quickest and cheapest in town!

Being new to the area, with a new rescue, I made the mistake of initially taking him to Petsmart. When I took him back to get him cleaned up, as I was so dissatisfied, they told me “no, they didn’t want to re-tramatize him”. I walked out.
Hanna was recommended to me by some dear friends of my daughter. Am I ever glad they did. She cleaned Sam up beautifully and handled him with such gentle care that you could tell he was far from traumatized. We’ve found our new groomer. I couldn’t be happier.

I have a golden retriever collie mix who is anxious when leaving the house. Hannah did an amazing job making her comfortable enough for a good grooming. she looks and smells amazing now. Thank you Hannah.

Hannah has been my dog’s groomer for close to 5 years. Hannah groomed my Heart Dog, Sarah, a Bernese Mountain Dog/Pyrenees Mix. Hannah has always provided the services she’s promised, communicated effectively, and my dogs have always been happy to see her. Even my anxiety riddled 12 year old sensitive senior Bernese Mix, Sarah, who had severe Osteoarthritis, and Degenerative Myelopathy. Sarah had zero issues walking back into Hannah’s space, multiple times. Hannah always kept Sarah comfortable, and never pushed her beyond her comfort zone. Hannah communicated to me, empathetically and openly, when she felt that further grooming wasn’t a good choice for Sarah. I’ve had groomers who Sarah had refused to even get out of the car for again. My current Bernese, Courtney, happily walks in and out of the open crate when she’s at the shop, and hangs out in it. This alone blows my mind because crating Courtney at home is a disaster, so much so that a gave up on even trying. I know Hannah is a caring and fairly priced groomer, who provides a great service, with great results. I’ve taken two different dogs to Hannah over the past 5 years, and both of them have had quirky personalities, and both of them love Hannah. I have no idea where the negative reviews come from. Negative reviews must be from people who don’t understand business owners are people too and sometime communication can be delayed, especially if it’s a one owner business, like Hannah has/is. A dog may also not be groomed very well if the dog is anxious and/or struggling, which may result in a “bad” cut, or may have an incomplete cut. Hannah won’t force a dog, which is really the only reason I could possibly think of as to why a dog would come out not fully groomed, or what the owner wanted. Hannah truly cares about the dogs best interest, even if that means a disappointed owner. As a dog owner who really loves my dogs, I’d rather that my dog have an uneven cut, or incomplete cut, than my dog be forced and then traumatized into a fear of being groomed. If I was a doodle owner who doesn’t brush their dog every day, which is why I’d never have a doodle, I’d expect and want a groomer who’d shave my dog rather than cause excruciating pain from brushing. As someone with experience working in pet stores, with groomers, and in Vet Clinics/Hospitals, grooming isn’t an easy profession, when you find a good one, like Hannah, appreciate what she’s providing. Thank you Hannah!!

My girls LOVE going to Hannah. They are treated like queens, look and smell great when I pick them up. Drop in Nail trim night is a super easy experience when we're in between grooms. I can't say enough great things about The BritishGroomer! Hannah took such amazing care of my dog and made the whole grooming experience stress-free and enjoyable. My pup came back looking absolutely adorable—clean, fluffy, and happy. The attention to detail was impressive, and she clearly loves what she does. Highly recommend to any pet owner looking for a groomer who truly goes above and beyond!
