Have always come to this location for my cats exams and other needs. Any vets will be quite pricey in Toronto, the most important thing is how well they care for your pet and how you feel from the appointment and after. We have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Pusong and Dr.Stewart, my cat is a highly anxious cat but with prescribed gabapentin it is much more manageable but they always approached my cat with ease and care. We've also come here with my cat without calming medicine and it was good experience as well. Will be coming back again.

Seems most of the positive reviews here are older ones and seems the clinic has changed for the worse. Please look at more recent Google reviews and you will see the lack of expertise and compassion overall at this vet. Avoid at all costs

My experience with Spadina Animal Hospital from two years ago was quite disappointing. My cat had what looked like an obvious infection, and I had to specifically request a blood panel since they did not suggest it themselves. The person we got our cat from took one look at the blood panel results and pointed out it looked like an infection. We even mentioned this to the vets at Spadina, but they still did not prescribe antibiotics or address the infection.
The main recommendations Spadina gave us were to try feeding my cat wet food to encourage him to eat, and to give him an anti-nausea injection. There was no real plan for treating the root cause of the problem. Over several days, we kept coming back for different tests, but were left without clear guidance or a sense of urgency.
After all of this, we got a call from Spadina right before closing on a Saturday. The doctor basically told me that what my cat might have was very bad and he might not make it, without giving any real explanation or details. All I was told was that I could take him to the ER if I wanted. This left me in shock, in tears, and completely devastated. No one answered when I tried to call back because they waited until the last minute to make the call.
My cat’s condition had continued to get worse by then, so we went to the ER. The vets there quickly reviewed his test results and explained that what Spadina found alarming was actually normal based on how the sample was collected. He received the treatment he needed, only had to spend one night in the hospital, and made a full recovery. Two years later, he is still healthy, but that is thanks to the ER, not Spadina.
Looking back, all of this stress could have been avoided if Spadina had started treatment for the infection instead of just running more tests. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this clinic.

Poor service. My dog passed away after they heavily sedated him for an ultrasound. I never received the results- till one week after. My dog was already gone. Very good at hooking you as a patient everything transactional. Rude receptionist.
