An institution; essentially a national treasure. For years, simply browsing the shelves and getting lost in this universe of affordable (cheap!) books that really should be expensive has been an unparalleled delight. Makes book-buying - and hording - a real possibility for the curious person on any budget. I would literally pay a tax to keep this place running.

I have been going to BMV books for many years, both at the Bloor Street location and the Yonge Dundas location.
There are always fun finds at Great prices. My one critique of the Bloor store is no bathroom accessibility. When you spend an hour enjoying yourself in the store, as a paying customer, there should be bathroom facilities.

I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager. It’s my favourite spot to come and get lost for a few hours, whether alone or in company. A huge selection of books spanning multiple floors.

I’ve sold books here too and the staff are always cool.
