We took my daughters Kia soul to the shop yesterday with a flat tire and purchased a brand new tire that was installed. She drove home and parked the car which is only three blocks away. This morning on her first journey out with a new tire it blew up and shredded on the ramp from the 427 onto the QEW. I immediately called the shop and got met with “we don’t know what happened to the tire, it probably a nail!” They asked us to bring it there which we did. My 20-year-old daughter was left on the side of the highway on an on ramp waiting for a tow truck for over an hour. When our vehicle arrive at the shop they put a new tire on and charged us again for another tire! They said that it had nothing to do with them. I am very confused how a brand new tire explodes the first time it’s been driven on and it’s not the responsibility of the shop that installed it. I feel very lucky that I still have my daughter as this could’ve been a much worse outcome. Do not get tires installed at the shop as they will put your life and the life of your loved ones at risk. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE HERE YOU ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE!!!!
