The relationship our dad had with his financial advisor Richard Demaiter@BMO was special. When Dad was in the hospital before passing 2019 Richard came to visit. We soon realized then and after Dad’s passing how often Dad had sat in Richard’s office having conversations about practically everything(including financial advice about his portfolio) Richard knew our father’s life story. Our Dad looked forward to seeing Richard. Richard was kindhearted and respectful. Someone who turned the computer screen the other way to engage in real conversation with a lonely man (widower after 55 years of marriage to our Mom) craved social contact.
