Brandon recently power washed and stained our deck, we are very pleased with the results. He took great care in protecting the shrubs around our deck. Thanks, Brandon, for a great job.

Professional, quality work. Delayed on time frame but communicated and resolved best they could as the situation was out of both parties hands.

Brandon is a hard working and detail oriented craftsman. He has ideal communication and is also generally really cool. I will definitely hire him again and I give him my highest rating.... Part 2: it is later and I have hired Brandon and his partner again. It gives me great peace of mind to have good hardworking people who only want to do good work. I have a lot of respect for how hard they work every day.

Sharing this review in the hopes it will save others from the absolute nightmare we went through.

I initially contracted Woodhouse Painting to refresh the paint of my new rental property. I specifically asked for the paint “Benjamin Moore Cloud White” and was quoted $4,900 for the job - higher than any other quote I received, but opted for Woodhouse based on their promise of quality, customer service, and a premium product. I paid a $2,260 deposit and received none of this.

Another reputable painter in town warned me about their use of cheaper products in lieu of brands clients specifically requested, and their reputation for thinking the client wouldn’t take notice. After I heard this I immediately went to check on a progress update, they had been painting for one day at this point, and sure enough, I found cans of Dulux paint being used instead of the Benjamin Moore I had requested. At this point I was frustrated about being misled, but still open to having the work corrected. I reached out to them via email, the entire email exchange is attached here.

At no point did they take responsibility for their mistake or lack of communication; they didn’t even offer an apology. We exchanged a few emails about correcting the work - in these emails I specifically asked them not to come to the house until we had figured out a solution. In my last email I presented two options: correct the situation using the correct paint, or end the job. If they opted to end the job I offered to collect their ladders and other miscellaneous small supplies and place them outside. Again, all of those emails are attached here.

I then went to the house and was absolutely shocked to find them on the property, despite explicitly being asked not to and not informing me about what the plan would be. They had entered the house and cleared out their things, with zero communication to me about what the final solution would be - the last point of communication was my email to them seeking clarity, which is attached here.

I was absolutely shocked these “professionals” would enter a property that didn’t belong to them when they were explicitly asked not to. This is such a violation of privacy and absolutely insane behaviour. They didn’t even tell me they were quitting the job, and I had volunteered to remove their things if that was the case. Despite now having all of their belongings, they remained seated on the front porch, I asked them to leave, and they flat out refused. Again, insane and unhinged behaviour. They said, this house isn’t yours, we will wait to talk to the landlord. I reminded them that I am the tenant of this property and their paint contract is with me (I am paying for this work), you now have all of your things so there is absolutely no reason for you to be here, this is not your property, so please leave, if you need to speak to the landlord for some other reason you can call them and wait in your vehicle on the road. They continued to sit there, refusing to leave, until finally the landlord came and asked them to leave. By this point the police were contacted to remove them from the property.

Trying to use cheap products thinking the client won’t notice is bad business, but refusing to leave someone’s property is truly insane. We are left with an interior that is not even half finished, with the wrong paint, and our entire move in is delayed, costing us even more time and money to start from scratch, and we’ll have to file a civil suit to have our deposit returned with damages. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, absolutely horrible!

The roof over my deck collapsed and I was left with a dangerous mess on my deck. I couldn’t get out into my back yard at all. Brandon removed all the debris and took down the remainder of the roof. He was able to salvage the walls and floor, repair the damage, pressure wash and stain the entire deck and it looks awesome. And all this was done in a week (even in the snow). I think they went above and beyond to help me out and it’s very much appreciated. Now I can enjoy my outdoor space this year! Thanks so much!

Brandon recently completed a rather large fencing job for my wife and I. It was done in a timely manner, and when he said it would be. He was professional, courteous, and very pleasant to some neighbours that like to "investigate" the goings on in our area. As a guy who has been in the construction industry for over 25 years it was hard for me to let someone else work at our house, but Brandon really came through! We are extremely happy with the work he did!
