Teddy came out of the operation with absolutely no complications, and the SKVH team especially Ruby and Alex were amazing, contacting me as soon as the op was done to let me know how things went, their post operative care was super and I really appreciated the follow up once he came home. They understand that fur babies are family. SKVH is now my go to for all of Teddy's care ?“

I want to thank the whole team, especially Dr. Jansen, for their care and genuine love for Kestrel. (A bonus shout out to Dr. Companion before her for all the tips and help since 2020!) We made a very difficult decision right after New Years and never once did we feel pressured or rushed. She was candid but sympathetic, and shared personal experiences that really helped process our choice in a very short window. Every step and what to expect was communicated clearly and compassionately by both Dr. Jansen and the tech several times. My spouse and I were a mess but we, including Kestrel, were treated so kindly.

I see a lot of reviews here about costs and upsells—in the five years we had with Kestrel I’ve never experienced undue pressure from this clinic, even if they are a business. As far as I’m concerned pets come with the expectations of a price tag. Our boy was FIV+ with surprise extra dental extractions after we adopted him and those were patiently explained with recommendations over the phone while he was already under for one during covid. They had a time crunch and still wanted to offer options. When his condition worsened and second x-rays were recommended after a visit to the emergency vet, they charged us the lowest price. These people truly care so much about these animals and I felt that every time I brought our giant fluffball to the vet and the receptionists laughed at his obscenely loud purr. On the day we said goodbye we were grieving our cat but memorial products weren’t pushed on us. We asked and the tech was so gentle and made sure not to overwhelm us and offered to keep Kestrel on site if we needed more time. There’s a lot of love in this practice and it was felt and so appreciated.

This got so long winded, writing it was kind of cathartic ? but seriously, this is a wonderful team of folks who love animals and genuinely want to help. If I were to give one tip it is that booking is much easier if you pick up the phone lol. Thank you again for everything. ?“
