Today we lied to rest my mother in law. And although we are devastated over our loss, we couldn’t have had a better send off for her. And this is all because of the staff. Not one door wasn’t open, not one request was declined, not one staff member passed us by without a kind smile and warm gesture. I have Never have I had the pleasure of meeting some of the loveliest people especially Funeral directors Tony and Joseph. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for a beautiful day as we celebrated my mother in law today. To the staff, the empathy you showed us did not go un noticed. Godbless 🙏🙏🙏

I wanted to share our recent experience with Highland Funeral home. They were absolutely fantastic from the beginning they made the difficult process seem less daunting. Amalia (Funeral Director) was amazing, she listened to our needs, made great suggestions and made us feel comfortable through the whole thing. During the viewing and service we were supported by the onsite staff, Alistar and Franny felt like part of the family and took care of our every need. We literally could not have made it through our difficult time without them there. Not only were the entire staff at Highland Funeral homes professional, they really cared. Thank you all for making us feel less alone and we are forever grateful for your attention to detail. They also took care of all the after service needs we had as well. From the very beginning of the preplanning process to the final moments of interment, Janice Chan demonstrated a level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication that went far beyond what I could have expected.
During one of the most difficult times in my life, Janice provided not only guidance but genuine care and understanding. Every detail was handled with such thoughtfulness and precision, ensuring that my husband’s visitation at the Highland Funeral Home, funeral mass at the church, cremation at the Highland Hills Crematorium, and interment at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery were all carried out with dignity and grace.
What truly set her apart was her presence. She was consistently there, steady and reassuring, anticipating needs before I even had to express them. Her kindness, patience, and quiet strength helped carry me through moments when I felt completely overwhelmed. She did not simply perform her role; she walked alongside me through the entire journey.
Because of her, I was able to focus on honouring my husband’s life rather than worrying about the countless details that come with such arrangements. The service was deeply personal and meaningful, a reflection of both her dedication and her sincere desire to do right by the families she serves.

Notably, Riccardo Moscati, the funeral director, was a tremendous source of support to me during one of the most painful times of my life. As a grieving widow, I cannot fully express how much his kindness, professionalism, and quiet strength meant to me during my husband’s funeral two weeks ago.
From the visitation to the funeral Mass, and cremation, Riccardo guided every part of the process with such care, dignity, and attention to detail. In a time when I felt overwhelmed by grief, his calm and reassuring presence brought me a sense of comfort and peace that I will never forget.
He listened carefully to every request I made and handled each detail with genuine thoughtfulness and respect. What touched me most was that he did not simply do his job well — he went beyond that. He added thoughtful touches of his own that made the services feel deeply meaningful, personal, and memorable. It was clear that he truly cared about honouring my husband in the most beautiful and respectful way possible.

On the day of the funeral, she also provided guidance to ensure the funeral/cremation procedures were done smoothly. I also want to thank Jenny at Highland Scarborough Chapel for ensuing all my last minute questions were fully answered, and the funeral home itself which provided a comfortable facility for guests.

I want to give a special and big thank you to the funeral director Jenny Leung, as well as her teammates Stanley and Vince! Jenny has been very compassionate and patience with us. She answered all our questions and followed up the details. She was very hardworking and responsible. She replied my questions even though i texted her late at night. I needed to alter the length of the sleeves of the new suit and pants in a very short time period, Jenny not only suggested a good tailor to me, but also called the tailor herself couple of times to follow up and explained the measurements to the tailor directly. She made the entire event less stressful, addressed all our concerns and gave us peace of mind. Stanley assisted us on the Service day. He was patience, professional and considerate. He explained the run down for the day. Vince was the driver and drove by the places we have requested. I highly recommend Highland Funeral Home services. Jenny, Stanley and Vince- Thanks again for all your help and consideration!
