Dr. Hu has been Bailey’s veterinarian since the day he came into our lives, and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with his care. Even when she moved to a different clinic, I followed her because of the incredible compassion, knowledge, and dedication she has always shown. I literally went from driving two minutes to his clinic to 45 just to ensure she remained his doctor!
She is one of the kindest, sweetest, and most caring veterinarians I have ever met. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions, never makes me feel rushed, and genuinely cares about both her patients and their families. I have worked at a veterinary office before and I have never seen this kind of service given. One of the many things I appreciate is her honesty. As a pet owner, there are so many things I don’t know, and it can be overwhelming. Dr. Hu has always been transparent about Bailey’s treatment options and has never recommended unnecessary tests or procedures. In fact, she has often helped me save money by suggesting the most appropriate and cost-effective care rather than the most expensive option. That level of integrity means the world to me, especially because she knows how much Bailey means to our family. In my experience, most vets take advantage of that.
Bailey recently had a full dental extraction with her, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he received. She did an amazing job, kept me informed throughout the process, and made what was a very stressful day so much easier. Knowing Bailey was in her hands gave me complete peace of mind. Bailey is 15 years old so the process is more complicated and more risky and because of Doctor Hu, I was able to put my dogs life in her hands and feel at peace.
I am so grateful for everything she has done for Bailey over the years. If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly goes above and beyond, I cannot recommend Dr. Hu enough. Bailey and I are incredibly lucky to have her and she will always hold a special place in his life and our families life for keeping him healthy!

PLEASE DO NOT GO IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!
I brought my dog to this clinic for an ear infection, and the total cost for the consultation and medication was close to $400. Unfortunately, there was no improvement in my dog’s condition after the treatment.
When I contacted the clinic to ask for an explanation, I was informed that the veterinarian who initially saw my dog was a practicing doctor rather than one of the clinic’s main veterinarians. This information was not communicated to me at the time of the appointment, and I believe clients should be made aware of who is providing the consultation, especially when paying the same consultation fee.
What was even more disappointing was that when I tried to schedule a follow-up visit because my dog’s condition had not improved, I was told that I would need to pay another consultation fee. Given that the initial treatment did not resolve the issue, I expected the clinic to take more responsibility and provide better follow-up care.
Overall, my experience was very disappointing. I hope the clinic can improve its communication, transparency, and approach to patient care.

My rabbit died during examination — Updates
I understand there could be damage during examination, but seriously? saying it’s a seizure? And doctor held her to prevent injury? It’s just ridiculous!
Unfortunately, I remember every single detail. 1. Doctor Hu checked her belly by hand, pressing and squeezing. No X-ray or tools used. 2. After the hand check,my rabbit screamed out very loud. She never done it before in her whole life. 3. Then she tried to escape, run from one side of the table to the other side. 4. During the middle of her run, doctor Hu pressed on her back and held her to not let her move at the spot. 5. She still tried to escape, run and hide, but doctor Hu kept pressing her on the table and she just suddenly died in 2 seconds. 6. This is NOT a seizure. Nor does my rabbit have any seizure before. 7. In fact, from the start of the examination to the end of the examination, doctor Hu DIDN’T do anything trying to save her life, but only insist to put her down.
Not to mention doctor Hu’s words was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. And she was also extremely judgmental and impatient during the whole examination. She doesn’t have any empathy, when my rabbit alredy pretty sick I’m so worried alredy.
I attached the video I took just 3 hrs before the death. I couldn’t even imagine she died after 3 hrs.
The doctor didn’t do any real test and just by hand checking and replied with “your pet was found to have a tumor ” is extremely unprofessional and ridiculous!!!! Are you serious? By just touching and claimed a tumor inside her body in one single visit ?? Can you claim someone was found to have a tumor inside by pressing his/her belly at any hospital? You have to do at least some test either x ray or like blood test or anything?
And thank to AI! I described what happened and her symptoms, the potential disease is Gastrointestinal Stasis. the FACT is : She died all sudden after you checked , pressed and squeezed her belly and pressed her on the table ( and she yelled extremely loud!) ————————-
My 10 years old rabbit passed away during the examination - 3.5hrs after taking this video. Doctor checked on her and immediately asked me to put her down, she said “ I understand where you came from it’s hard but I have to speak up for your rabbit she is in pain ” My rabbit was sick, but still breath with her nose when she was home. She didn’t scream anytime at home, but she did scream after the doctor hand checked her belly and said there was a huge tumor. Then she tried to escape but was pressed and held by the doctor and then she just suddenly died in 2 seconds.
I think the doctor could have been more gentle when treating small animals.
The two stars is for the nurse who is really supportive, thank you.

Nothing but great things to say about Bridletowne. Always so helpful, kind and they really take their time with your pet to make sure they get things right. The staff are incredible. They have performed two surgeries on our dog - both very successful - along with countless other times helping out. We’ve been going there for years and not a single complaint along the way. A great place to go to get the best for your pet.

A negative experience on the business & communications side, and as a result, we will not be returning. Truly unfortunate.

Will not refill my dogs ear flush without me paying for an entire examination. I don’t need to bring my dog in for a physical, I just need her ears flush solution refilled so that she doesn’t get back her ear infection. She needs this for life. She has permanent scars from itching her ears in the past.
Therefore, they would rather let my dog have an ear infection than allow me to spend money on the refill.
If you come here I hope you have lots of money.

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. We were so lucky to find Bridletowne when we moved into the area. Not only have they been great at taking care of our dogs, they provided so much support and advocacy for our dog when she fell sick. Everyone at Bridletowne has gone above and beyond what we thought we could expect from a family vet. The kindness and compassion our dogs are treated with is heart warming.

I have been taking my anxious dog Picco to Bridletowne Warden Animal Hospital since I moved to Scarborough since 2018 and I have a pleasure experience. Their staff is friendly and the vets are knowledgeable and patient with my anxious Chihuahua/Pomeranian dog who does not like the vet. Their prices are reasonable and they explain the costs and you can decide to proceed or not. I definitely recommend it.

Very positive experience. Was given options for both expensive and inexpensive treatments. Very friendly staff and veterinary. Love the calls for reminders of appointments and check ins for pets.
