The Hair Fix Salon is a fantastic small business in the Richmond Hill neighborhood. They have been taking care of my haircuts and trims for years, and my appointments have typically been pleasant. While there have been occasional glitches, especially when the salon is busy or short-staffed, I know they strive to provide excellent service. I realized I have taken their great services for granted over the years and wanted to express my appreciation.
My hairstylist, Perry, is a seasoned professional. He is incredibly flexible and attentive to my needs as my life evolves. Perry can be expertly quick and efficient if I'm in a hurry, or he can take his time to add delightful details when I have more time. If you're looking for a warm, family-run atmosphere, filled with friendly chatter of the staff, and seeing long-time customers dropping in for their regular appointments, and the phone ringing with new bookings, The Hair Fix Salon is the perfect place!

My first time at this establishment as my daughters recommended I go and get a hair cut and beard trim. They highly recommended Tony. There is a lot of free parking was well lit and very welcoming. Staff was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place and I definitely be back. Great job Tony my wife and kids love it. They said I look like a new man and they love the transformation.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Sylvana, and she’s fantastic! Whether it’s a color, cut, or just a simple style, she always does an amazing job. Even my mother-in-law praises her work every time and has told me I’ve found someone who really knows what they’re doing.
They also have a small room where I get my eyebrows done by Teresa, who is equally great. She pays close attention to detail and really understands her clients’ preferences. Both Sylvana and Teresa make every visit a pleasant experience!

*edit: worst hairstyle I’ve ever received in 30+ years, confirmed damage causing hair breakage (which defeats the purpose of getting a trim to remove split ends) and too short to get restyled for a few months. Terrible mistake trusting this hair dresser and feel like absolute worst spend of $65 a few weeks later, I guess you get what you pay for? You can’t take back hating how you look every time you look in the mirror.
I waited a bit to post this to see if I’d like the hairstyle more or less, sadly, even after washing it, I hate it. Cut more than 4 inches off my hair when I asked for just a trim of split ends and no more than a couple of inches. The hairdresser even said that she never cuts it too short because you can always go shorter - so I’m unsure what she was doing and where she lost her touch. Where my hair was formerly almost down to my ribcage (about 6inches post shoulders), it’s barely a couple of inches post shoulders now when blow dried/straightened - and if the hairstylist actually knew hair, they’d have known that my hair type needs additional weight or it easily frizzes so this will require constant maintenance whereas previously - and I mentioned this - I preferred to air dry and let it be. In addition, I noticed that the blowdryer was incredibly hot to the point to steam coming off my hair - literally felt like she was almost burning my scalp - I thought it was just me being sensitive - after a couple of days I truly feel it actually damaged my hair which defeats the purpose of getting a trim, plus dandruff which I haven’t had in years and tends to happen when your scalp is too dry. This will take months to grow back and to repair the damage. Really, really disappointed.
