It's hard to find a place where you get incredible service and great product, even 20 years after you bought something. John the owner knows all things about cleaning products and has been in the business almost forever. When my 20 year old Riccar that he sold me needed a new handle, HE HAD ONE ! And he was super excited when I brought the unit in to check the fit and chat. John and the Vac Shack are a secret treasure in Ottawa.

This place is a gem. Their knowledge is really amazing. Also, they give honest advice and try to service your vacuum, not sell you on something new. Can't recommend more highly.

Had the same issue as Immanuel Lanzaderas: a Miele vacuum that would have cost $100+ to fix, if lucky. When I asked about a new machine, John showed me a new Miele ($450+) and an equivalent (nowadays) Eureka for $175. No pressure, no attempt at upselling: told me good things about the Eureka, provided a balanced. choice. I bought the Eureka. Fabulous machine. We're very pleased. Thanks, Vac Shack!
