Dovercourt Recreation Centre

Dovercourt Recreation Centre is a non-profit organization in Ottawa's Westboro area that offers a wide range of programs for all ages. The centre features a pool, multi-purpose rooms, outdoor facilities, and an outdoor rink. It is well-known for its cleanliness and friendly staff, making it a welcoming place for families.

Dovercourt provides opportunities for fitness, rehabilitation, community activities, and social support. The indoor pool is particularly popular, especially for families. It is warm and shallow, which is great for kids learning to swim. Parents appreciate the free swimming for children and those with disabilities on certain days. The centre also runs fun summer camps and birthday parties, making it a fantastic starting point for young swimmers. The instructors, including Themis and Sebastian, are dedicated and skilled at helping children feel safe and comfortable in the water.
