Many thanks for your very kind and compassionate treatment of Burger this morning. Euthanasia is not an easy process for cats and cat parents and the waiting area you’ve put together is exactly what we needed. I especially liked that I could make payment there rather than weeping at the front desk. My heart is broken but it will heal knowing I gave him a good life and we gave him a good ending Thank you

Bytown Cat Hospital is staffed by friendly, gentle, knowledgeable staff. As you might guess from the name, everyone is a cat person. The exam room is designed with cats in mind, including opaque sliding sliding doors to avoid accidental escapes or bumps, a calming plug-in, and no inaccessible crevices for nervous cats to get stuck in. The office is currently ruled by two peaceful gentlecats, Brian and Frank, who today were wearing a bow tie and a donut. Each vet we have dealt with there has put our cats at ease and provided excellent care.
Every other place that my eldest cat has needed to rest in a cage (post surgery), I have had to retrieve him... read full review

Amazing service and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We felt listened to and heard by the Vet and our little Kittie received excellent and kind treatment. Dr. Marshall helped walk us through options and explained processes really clearly. The building is a bit older, but clean and orderly and we were very happy with our first visit.
I highly recommend BCH/Merivale over any other Vets in Ottawa for cats.
