Nice shop, I found a lot of interesting things there, the seller is very knowledgeable about the collections and antiques. If you pay attention when shopping you may find some vintage staff which is very valuable

Avoid at all cost. Very rudely greeted by older gentleman at the desk. Bad business practise. Will definitely not return.

Disappointed by the service. I was genuinely interested in purchasing an item, but it didn’t have a price tag, and I asked if I could see if it worked by plugging it in. I was told to come back in an hour. After finishing a lunch meeting with a friend, I returned—and the employee claimed he had waited 30 minutes for me. However, he still had to ask the owner for the price and made no effort to let me test the item or assist further.
The overall attitude came across as dismissive and unhelpful. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue with some antique stores—not understanding customer service or how to properly engage with buyers. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend doing business here.

A Fine Thing has moved to its new location on Catherine St.
The new spot is wonderful. The antiques are beautifully displayed with the same layout as before, and the new rug room is fantastic.
The new space is clean and bright, and it's just such a welcoming spot for treasure-hunting.
As usual, the owner and staff are friendly, so knowledgeable, and enjoyable to chat with.
Great parking. NB: as with the previous spot, there are stairs to climb at the entrance.

I donated a hoosier cabinet to the owner. Told him to meet me there at a certain time after work. Because of traffic, I called him to tell him that I was gonna be there within five minutes. He started to yell at me and threaten me that he was gonna leave. He was extremely angry like he ate rabid rats. He sold the Hoosier for hundreds of dollars and not even a thank you upon pick up. Rude, grumpy and greedy.

Purchased to house my vintage stereo receiver. Had a good interaction with the owner. Wasn’t hassled to purchased anything and when I was interested, owner was available to discuss the piece and price. Even threw in a matchbox for my son! Will be back.

They have a beautiful array of items and you’re bound to find what you need there. Very reasonable prices for restored antique furniture. I’ve received tons of compliments on the furniture I found there. Len was super helpful and full of great tips on restoration as well
