Original post: My three daughters and I have been loyal clients of this salon for the past three years and have consistently had great experiences—until today. I left feeling like my time and effort were completely disregarded.
As a full-time working mom of three, my weekends are tightly scheduled. I received a voicemail asking if I’d like to move my appointment earlier, with instructions to only call back if I agreed. Since the suggested time didn’t work for me, I didn’t respond. Yet, I was called again 30 minutes later with the same request. I politely explained that I couldn’t make it within the hour.
When I arrived a few minutes early for my original appointment, the receptionist greeted me kindly. However, the hairdresser—who didn’t introduce herself or even say hello—immediately informed me I’d have to wait 25 minutes due to a previous client’s lateness. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the effort I made to be on time, and no consideration that I might not be able to wait due to other commitments. A simple courtesy call to inform me of the delay would have gone a long way.
Ultimately, I didn’t get my hair cut. I had to leave because I couldn’t afford to wait any longer, and now I’m back at square one—still needing a haircut and having wasted precious time I carved out for myself. I’ve always appreciated the service here, but today’s experience made me feel undervalued. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements in communication and respect for clients’ time“

She was incredible: took her time, explained what went wrong with the previous cut, how she’d fix it, and was transparent about pricing and expectations.
