Went to MTC to get winter tires on. They were great and very helpful. I knew my tires were almost bald and I appreciated that they did not try to upsell me on something unnecessarily expensive. I dealt with Allan and Howard - they were great and super patient even though they were extremely busy.

I reached out to MTC Tire in mid-September looking to purchase a set of winter wheels and tires for my new vehicle. I spoke with Howard who seemed very pleasant during our initial conversation. I followed up with an email the next day to indicate which wheel and tire combination I was most interested in. Three days later, after receiving no reply or return phone call, I called and spoke to Howard again. He did acknowledge receiving my email. At this point, I'm baffled as to why I am chasing the owner for a quote. It can't get much easier than having a customer contact you knowing exactly what they want. Howard told me that he would work on sourcing the wheels and obtaining a cost for the package. Again, to his credit, he was quite friendly. One week later, I still not heard back from him. The lack of communication was both inconsiderate and unprofessional. A simple email or phone call to keep me apprised would have gone a long way to preventing a disappointed customer and a well-deserved poor review.

Well... For starters, for an auto shop it was clean and comfortable as I had to wait several hours for my car to be ready.
I've been ripped off a time or two so feeling the trust is important to me.
The staff was excellent and Allan the mechanic took time to explain the details of the issue with my car.
I felt that the cost was fair. And the overall experience was good.
Its a little far from me, but I trust the people so I will likely make the trip next time too.

They are not reliable when it comes to tire balance. My car had severe shaking after passing 100 km/hr on the highway and I took it to them. They balanced the tires even though one of the tires did not pass with showing zero. I took the car back and problem worsened. I took it to somewhere else, and sure enough, tires were not balanced properly. One tire had liquid inside which would have never passed the balance test.
