Highly recommend Juo — this is my second time getting my hair cut by him, and he always manages to perfectly tailor the exact Korean-style hairstyle I want.

I visited this salon because a coworker recommended it and specifically suggested one of the stylist. I first contacted the salon by phone, and they asked me to send photos of the hairstyle I wanted so the stylist could review them before confirming the appointment. Later, they texted me saying the stylist agreed that both haircut and color could be done together, so I booked an appointment a few days later.
The stylist was nice enough. After I showed her the reference photo, she decided to do the color first and then the haircut. However, she dyed my hair a dark brown with a hint of red. Before dyeing, she asked if I wanted some red in it, and I said no. The darker color would cover my gray hair and faded color more easily, which I understand, but I was actually hoping for something a little brighter and fresher, just like the color in the reference photo I showed her. I also felt that her hair dyeing technique was unprofessional. When dyeing the roots, she used a brush to brush on my scalp. After I got home, I could see that my scalp and the sideburns on both sides were brownish-red.
The bigger disappointment was the haircut. The final result looked very different from the reference photo I showed her. Actually, the hairstyle I want to get is a very common shoulder-length haircut, but with nice layers. It felt like she was only doing a basic trim rather than creating a new hairstyle. My hair still felt very heavy, and no layers. I asked her to make the bottom lighter and thinner, but it still looked like I was wearing a heavy “helmet” on my head. It was basically just a shorter version of my original hairstyle, not the new style I wanted.
In the end, I still politely left a good tip even though I wasn’t satisfied, because I appreciated that she spent two hours working on it.

I got a perm and a haircut today.
I’m very happy with the results.

The haircut is terrible, doesn’t really what i expected or how it looks like.I wouldn’t come in this barbershop for the second time.

Emma is really attentive and kind while cutting my hair. She took the time to explain why/how she's cutting certain areas. She also took the time to show me how to style my hair.

I sometimes get anxious when getting my haircut but Emma made the process comfortable. Thanks again!

Highly recommend this salon and book Sage for an incredible bleach & tone session! Sage is so amazing she did a full highlights service on my hair with little to no damage. She is attentive and definitely knows what she’s doing. She executed exactly my reference photo too :) thank you!
