About Promed Physiotherapy And Rehab Centre

Promed Physiotherapy and Rehab Centre in North York offers a range of physiotherapy services aimed at helping patients recover from injuries and manage pain. The clinic is known for its professional staff and personalized treatment plans. Patients have praised the attentive approach of physiotherapists, particularly mentioning how they focus on individual needs and provide effective exercises for recovery. For example, one patient who had a broken ankle appreciated the detailed care and tailored exercises that helped them walk and bike pain-free within four weeks. Another patient with sciatic nerve pain experienced significant improvement after just four visits, highlighting the clinic’s positive impact on chronic conditions. However, some reviews point out certain issues. Several patients expressed frustration with the clinic’s scheduling system, noting that treatments had to be scheduled weeks in advance and that appointments could fluctuate, making it difficult for those in urgent need. Additionally, parking was mentioned as poor, and some felt that the clinic lacked empathy for patients in pain, especially when dealing with emergency issues or complex conditions like lower back pain. One reviewer shared a negative experience where they felt their pain was overlooked and not adequately addressed, leading them to seek treatment elsewhere. Despite these concerns, many patients find the clinic’s treatments to be helpful and appreciate the friendly, efficient staff. The clinic offers treatments such as physiotherapy, massage, and exercises designed to reduce pain and improve mobility. Overall, Promed Physiotherapy is seen as a place that provides professional care, though some patients wish for better scheduling and empathy in handling urgent or complicated cases.

Feedback on Daniel Shum PROMED PHYSIOTHERAPY & REHAB CENTRE 1315 Finch Avenue W., Suite 119, North York, Ontario, M3J 2G6 416-638-7744 / 416-650-5390 dspromephysio On Monday April 7, 2025, I walked into this clinic for my 6th OHIP shoulder treatment but as I walked in, Daniel, my physiotherapist could see that I could not walk freely and that I was leaning to one side more than the other side due a sharp lower back pain. I told Daniel about my problem but he was more concerned to finish my last shoulder treatment under OHIP which I did. When I told Daniel about my lower back, he didn't say much but spent few minutes exploring my problem physically. He indicated that I shouldn't do the exercises today because of my back pain. He referred me to the office for additional treatment fees and potential treatment for my lower back as I asked him about those two issues. I then proceeded to ask the office about further treatments. They told me that if I pay $60/treatment, they can continue to treat my shoulder. When I asked about any help with me sever lower back, they told me that it was a new problem and that they can't schedule me because I had to wait for the new patient intake cycle. I got frustrated and spoke with Daniel right away who confirmed what the office suggested. I told him that I am in pain but he indicated that he couldn't help me at this time. I asked him to treat my lower back on an emergency basis but he couldn't do that and set me free to walk out from his office in pain. Clearly, he couldn't care. In summary, the problems with this clinic were: 1. Poor parking 2. Can't schedule treatment for several weeks. Every regular weekly treatment had to be scheduled one week prior. That meant fluctuation in treatment days and poor scheduling. 3. Poor intake as you have to fit their schedule before that can treat you. 4. Lack of empathy with the patients specially those who were in trouble and in pain. 5. The most importantly is that I believe that their shoulder treatment hurt my lower back but they wouldn’t try to fix what they damaged. I would never go back there again. This is Physio Therapy treatment which my MD can't help with, and the Hospital emergency dept doesn’t handle such emergencies, so where would a patient go for help? I physically walk out, drove to the next Physio therapy clinic in the area and scheduled an intake visit for Thursday of the same week. On Thursday, I had my assessment and managed to accommodate me with a treatment right away. I also booked for Osteo assessment and massage treatments plus scheduled 5 more OHIP based treatments to help my back. This was great from them to make room for me to be assessed and treated super-fast when they didn't really have to do this. I would never go back to Promed Physiotherapy ever again. Instead, I would go to: CenterPoint Physio - 3685 Keele Street, Unit 9 North York, M2J 3H6 416-631-7797 cmc-downsview
