About Happy Tails Pet Resort & Camp
Happy Tails Pet Resort & Camp, established in 1996, is known as ‘Muskoka’s Retreat for the Furry Elite.’ Located just 5 minutes from downtown Huntsville, Ontario, it is a pioneer in cage-free pet care. The resort features a new pavilion, 17 fully-fenced dog parks, playgrounds, and quiet zones, all set on 25 acres of natural parkland, complete with ponds for swimming and exploring. Customers appreciate the personal touch provided by the staff, especially Lisa, the owner, who goes out of her way to understand each pet's needs. The property is well built, groomed, and maintained, resembling a resort spa for dogs. The facility is clean and secure, allowing dogs to socialize and play freely. Many dogs return home happy, tired, and ready for a nap after enjoying their stay at the resort. The resort is especially praised for accommodating specific dietary needs and providing a safe environment for rescue dogs, making it feel like a summer camp for pets. The beautiful grounds offer plenty of space for dogs to run, swim, and enjoy, leading to positive changes in their behavior and well-being. Pet owners feel confident leaving their dogs at Happy Tails, knowing they are in caring hands and having a fun, safe experience. Lisa runs a structured program with firm pick-up and drop-off windows to maintain a calm, consistent environment for the dogs, and her commitment to their care is evident.

Lisa, you do a fabulous job and have a beautifully created home away from home for dogs. Well done!!!

Maple, my Vizsla, began attending camp at the end of June and is currently still going. She’s lean, muscular, and full of energy—which makes her more prone to small scrapes or snags—but each time she comes home happy, tired, and ready for a nap… yet just as excited to go back again.
I love that Maple is well cared for in a natural environment, gets the stimulation she needs, and can safely interact with dogs of all sizes. The setting gives her freedom to...read full review
