Our checklist for a deck company included reliability, attention to detail and workmanship. We also needed someone who would respond to concerns quickly, both during the process and post-build. Nick at Maplewood Design Build checked the boxes.
His quote was clear and concise. As a bonus, Nick also had expertise when it came to elements of design. Choice of materials was up to us, and he provided options in all price ranges and their pros and cons. And not once did Nick complain about the tricky access to the back yard, which was an issue for other quotes.
At each stage of the build, Nick took us on an end of day walkthrough for Q & A. Open dialogue is important.
When completed, the build quality and aesthetical appeal spoke for itself. Edges were cut perfectly and spaces between planks were exact. Small touches here and there added cottage-like elegance. The glass framed in black metal posts complimented the overall look, as did the different coloured border and higher end privacy screens on each side.
Eight months later one of the support beams developed a split over the winter. We contacted Nick and he replied immediately. He booked us in right away and replaced the faulty beam. No questions asked – and no charge.

This is my first season using Ray’s Property Services and I’m so glad I went with them. I love how my lawn looks. They do such an amazing job and take pride in their work and it shows. They are flexible when there is a need to move the mowing date. I wish I would have known about them sooner. Every barber gives a quality haircut. Personally I always go to Brad to get my haircut because he takes his time and makes sure i’m happy with the cut. Price is fair but i’m always happy walking out!

Very nice and clean nail salon . We went on a very snowy day without an appointment ( we called ahead ) and they were very sweet to accommodate two of us for shellac pedicures. I had the Carpet Barn Install flooring in my basement several years ago. I recently had some water damage and had to remove several pieces of the flooring. The flooring I had used was discontinued, but Jamie managed to locate some to repair the small area I needed. This saved me the hassle of trying to match the existing floor, or having to replace the whole area. Thank you for going the extra mile for your customers. It is greatly appreciated :)
Kaven Homes was absolutely fantastic to work with. I needed help with a reno that came up rather urgently prior to moving into my new home and they responded immediately and were able to fit me in. Kyle came, assessed the situation, gave me his insights and provided a clear quote for the work needed. He had his team out immediately. Kaven Homes also provides ongoing pictures and status updates of the work. I was able to ask questions and provide feedback as the work progressed and was completely satisfied with the final product. I highly recommend Ontario Gutter Kings for your home improvement projects. After getting quotes from multiple contractors and firms, Steve gave me the lowest quote. And contrary to popular belief, the lowest quote didn't mean lower quality. Steve's team did a great job installing vinyl siding on a ground to roof bay window, finished it in a day, made sure the trims and mouldings were right, colour matched the caulking. Communication was spot on, no haggling or extra charges or any "surprises", which has been the norm when dealing with some other contractors. Go ahead, give Steve or Nick a shout at Ontario Gutter Kings.

The field crews are professional, courteous & knowledgeable. The quote provided by the arborist is detailed & reasonable. The field crews arrive when scheduled with all equipment needed. I had 3 very large trees in my yard which had worried me for some time, as my house is on a small city lot and I was concerned about the roots damaging my foundation, as well as with general safety around my home. I did some research on line to find a well experienced arborist and ended up contacting Hilltop. In meeting with Jay I felt confident in his knowledge, experience, and reputation, and decided to go ahead with the removal of all 3 trees. I was very impressed with the skill and professionalism of the crew and they did a great job. I was really impressed with the clean up afterward - there wasn't even a pine cone left in my yard. This is a Company that I would highly recommend to anyone.
