Nest Movers

My friend hired this company to move us Mar.3rd. 1st thing, they made it quite known that they were displeased that I had a friend show up BEFORE THEM , to help us. My friend ran circles around them , getting the job done, while they stood around chatting. When my friend( who hired them) mentioned that he was paying by the hour, so they needed to get moving, they stepped out to call their boss, who called me saying they now felt "threatened"by my friend , who was also accused of making racist remarks, HE DID NOT.The policeman even said, " In this country, we have freedom of speech". My friend weighs100 lbs( soak& wet)& currently has a VERY LARGE blood clot( from his groin to his ankle). He struggles to walk & is on blood thinners & has severe back pain as well. He is NO THREAT to ANYONE. Once they claimed the truck(27ft) was full, they left. We took an Uber to meet them, as they said there was no room for any of us. We arrived to my new apt. building, but they did not. I called the company to locate them, the owner said they refused to bring the truck, without pmt.( despite an earlier deposit). They were taking it to Mississauga to put in storage & I would have to arrange for someone to retrieve it. Even the building manager tried to talk to the company owner .The owner got upset about her doing so .They initially came back with the truck while I was on the phone. The lady told me to give her their license number, but ask them for their e-transfer info. When I approached the truck I was able to get the number, but when I tried to ask for their info, they drove away with my belongings AGAIN. A policeman arrived to take a report.He was in his cruiser for well over an hour TRYING to work with the company, as the truck had returned,AGAIN, but still REFUSED to unload without payment, saying he didn't trust me. Needless to say, I DID NOT TRUST HIM by this point either & told him so. My SIGNED ORIGINAL estimate was $500,for the 1st 3 hrs & $150 for each additional. Before they would unload, the owner sent another invoice $2442. I was borderline hysterical, as the items on the truck were mostly my parents ( who have both passed), so my friend paid what they were extorting from us to get my items back.He was billed for 11 HRS + an additional $250 each , for each of the 3 employees.($750) & the job was not completed.

We recently hired this moving company for our move and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. We were originally quoted approximately $800 for our move based on the information we provided about our belongings, number of boxes, and the fact that everything was already prepared on the main floor except for a few larger items. We were given an estimated move time of approximately 6 hours. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8:00–9:00 AM, however they did not arrive until 10:15 AM. From the beginning, the work pace was extremely slow and inefficient. At many points, one worker would be wrapping an item while another stood watching, sat in the truck, or was on their phone. There was no sense of urgency or teamwork, and the time was clearly not being used efficiently. What should have been a straightforward move ended up taking approximately 16 hours. The travel portion of the move also raised serious concerns. The drive from Hamilton to Bradford, which normally takes roughly 1.5 hours, took approximately 4 hours. We were not informed or consulted about any delays, and we did not approve the addition of a third mover despite being told that was part of the reason for the delay. During this time, the truck was out of our sight and not in our presence. When the truck arrived at the destination, items that had been loaded last appeared to have been moved or disturbed, not simply shifted from driving. This raised serious concerns about whether the truck had been opened during the trip without our knowledge. Additionally, the truck was not packed efficiently. Large empty spaces were left inside the truck while we were forced to pack two of our personal vehicles completely full from floor to roof because there was not enough room for everything. When unloading at the new location, no floor runners or protective coverings were used, which resulted in significant dirt and salt being tracked throughout the home and required extensive cleaning afterward. Boxes were also placed randomly throughout the house rather than organized by room, creating unnecessary chaos. During the move, attempts to communicate with the movers were largely ignored. Questions were shrugged off and conversations were difficult to have. At one point, a manager made an extremely inappropriate comment telling me to “get sober,” implying that I was intoxicated or under the influence. This was completely untrue and highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, items were missing and furniture was damaged. We contacted the company afterward with photos and details in an attempt to resolve the situation privately, but our emails have gone unanswered. Moving is already a stressful process, and we hired movers specifically to help make the experience smoother and more organized. Unfortunately, this experience had the opposite effect and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress and anxiety. Due to the lack of professionalism, poor communication, unprofessional comments, damage, missing items, and lack of response, we cannot recommend using this company.

Excellent communication and customer service. We contacted a half dozen moving companies to move contents of a 2 bedroom apartment locally. Most provided guesstimates but Nick with Nest movers did the sensible thing and voluntarily came out to see exactly what was involved and give us a clear idea of the costs. His team worked on a strictly hourly basis at a very competitive rate with no additional charges for travel time or distance. He subtracted break times from the charges as well. We had a limited time window and he suggested Having an extra person to make sure the job was completed which turned out to be necessary. His communication before moving day was very good. As there are sometimes issues in this regard, Nick assured us there would be no language issues with the movers he was sending. They did an excellent job. The movers showed up a little late but got right to work packing items we had not done already and they worked diligently through the day. They overcame a number of minor issues very well. The move did take longer than anticipated, but they kept at it the whole time. They took care with our belongings, but when I mentioned a couple of small items that were damaged, Nick took care of it. He also called the following day to follow up and see if we needed any further assistance. Out of the many reviews for nest, there were some negative amongst all the positive. Nick was Very upfront and not hesitant to address those. It was great to deal with a honest business, who does good work and keeps their word. Definitely recommend them.

Unprofessional Service and Broken Promises We chose this company because they promised to disassemble and reinstall our gym equipment was confirmed twice in front of my wife and included in the price. On moving day, items went missing, several arrived broken, and no apology was given. The “specialist” sent to reinstall the gym admitted he wasn’t trained for our model and couldn’t finish the job after three hours. We had to hire the original installer, who completed it alone in under 40 minutes. When I called to address these issues, I was interrupted, not allowed to speak, and hung up on. We treated the movers with tips, food, and drinks, but the service we received was disrespectful and unprofessional. Not recommended.

My mother is a senior who was moving from an apartment in Dunnville to Hamilton with my sister. The price quoted was significantly lower than what they charged, my sister had to unload the truck. The movers were super slow, taking extra long breaks and lunches all while on the clock. They kept my mother's TVs and damaged property.

Their service unacceptable... two men and a rental truck... took their sweet time ... much of the time stood around doing nothing... this company nothing but Vultures... 1260 dollars and we had to empty truck our selves. Could have done this ourselves at a fraction of the cost !!! PURE GARBAGE!!! DO NOT USE THEM ... THEY QUOTE A PRICE AND DOUBLE IT!!! this type of business should be exterminated!! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF MONEY ... And worse ... the so called manager was extremely rude calling us names and being extremely baligerant.. Will definitely be seeking legal / monetary reimbursement!!

I had a horrible experience with Nest Movers! They drove onto my grass damaging it with their heavy truck, they were careless with my boxes, they failed to remove glass shelves from a cabinet which in turn were damaged during transport, and they damaged my bed when they dismantled it and then refused to reassemble it for me even though their services include dis/assembly. Even though they responded to my first email saying “well look into this”, they ignored the rest of my emails and after a month, have not communicated with me at all. Very dissatisfied!

Two lovely young men, Sanjay and Ajay, helped move my claw for tub. Really great job and appreciated.
