★☆☆☆☆ Warranty promises not honoured, poor communication, misleading sales practices
I am extremely disappointed with my experience dealing with La-Z-Boy.
I purchased a sofa on January 14, 2022, and was told there was a 3-year warranty on the foam. When the foam failed within that period, La-Z-Boy refused to repair it, stating they did not have the proper foam and could not order it. The unit was not repaired or replaced, despite being under warranty.
I attempted to resolve this through Martina Hickey, Quality Assurance Supervisor, who does not return phone calls or respond to messages. The salesperson told me directly to contact Martina for repairs, but that led nowhere.
I then escalated to Oliver Lyle, Regional Manager, who did not offer a repair or replacement, but instead offered only to refund the extended warranty for $239, which does not resolve the defective product.
To make matters worse, I also purchased a recliner with a 7-year extended warranty ($399) through Zucora, and was repeatedly told that the issue was not their responsibility and that it was La-Z-Boy’s problem—leaving me stuck between two companies pointing fingers at each other.
During the sales process, Martina Chakovska presented the invoice without showing or explaining the general terms and conditions. I was explicitly told that La-Z-Boy would stand behind the warranty and repair the sofa, which has proven untrue.
I was never informed of a 50% restocking fee on a special-order recliner. When I stated that I would cancel the order if the warranty was not honoured, I cancelled the order on December 5, 2025—before production began and notified Marina Chaykovska accordingly.
This experience has involved:
Ignored calls and emails
Warranty coverage being denied despite clear promises
Inability or unwillingness to source replacement materials
Misleading information at the point of sale
No accountability between La-Z-Boy and their warranty partner
For a company with La-Z-Boy’s reputation and pricing, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before relying on their warranty claims or sales assurances.

Came to browse and ended up completely outfitting our Family Room. Kanika and Frida were friendly and professional. They showed us many different options of chairs and sofas. The took time and care to prepare a 3D design so we could see how the pieces would look in our space. They also helped us select fabric. We finished off with a carpet and accent pillows. We really appreciate Kanika ‘s and Frida’s patience and skill. They made the process very easy. We know we will love our new LAZBOY furniture!

My wife and I were recently shopping around for new furniture for living & dining room area in our condo and it was really our good fortune to meet Keith Sethi, a sales consultant ay LazyBoy furniture store off Queensway, Etobicoke. Keith was very patient and knowledgeable in answering our questions and addressing our concerns. He also got an in-store interior designer to assist us with our selections and show us how they will fit in our space. Keith and the entire team were very helpful and I highly recommend them.

We had a good idea of the two models we wanted. Our time in the store was fine-tuning our options, especially for my wife's chair. When there was a question about a feature, we were shown a chair that had it so she could check it out. A pleasurable visit.

Went to Lazy boy for the interior design and planning. Frida Sajjadi and Nera Nakic were so helpful. I recommend this service for anyone trying to figure out their furniture requirements.

Our experience at LaZBoy has been very positive. Kanika Vishnoi - sales associate we came in contact with is exceptionally customer oriented. Kanika is knowledgeable and took the time to understand our needs, showed us the different options and helped us decide the fabric and the model. Kanika is all about service with a smile. Whenever I have had questions Kanika has been prompt in providing detailed responses and is always available to help all her customers. I have observed her in the store dealing with other customers and I am struck by how patiently she interacts with each and everyone of the customers that enter the store. Thank you to all at LaZBoy Etobicoke!

**READ BEFORE YOU BUY A LA Z BOY I will NEVER be buying a La Z Boy sleeper sofa again. If I could give 0 stars I would. What they DON'T tell you before buying is that you HAVE to pay an additional exorbitant fee for white glove delivery for any La Z Boy piece of furniture that doesn't fit through your doorway, which is the vast majority. $500 + HST each time you move or want to move the piece of furniture to a difference place through your house if it needs to go through the doorway that it in
