“I visited Jade Thread and Wax Bar- (Bayview location). I was greeted by Jyoti, who did threading on my brows. I was not feeling my best due to a headache I experienced earlier in the day. Jyoti provided me with some water and after doing my eyebrows gave me a gentle massage around my face which help immensely. Overall, I was impressed with my brows and the wonderful service that was provided. Jyoti is friendly, pleasant and goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your brows. “I had such a great experience at Carousel Hairstyling. I originally had an appointment somewhere else, but they told me last minute they couldn’t do my hair unless it was fully bleached. I was pretty disappointed, so I walked into Carousel on a random Tuesday afternoon hoping they might be able to help, and I’m so glad I did.

Steve was amazing from start to finish. He sat down with me, looked at my inspo, and explained what he could do, what products/colours he’d use, and what kind of result I could realistically expect. He broke everything down in simple terms and explained that I didn’t actually need bleach to get the look I wanted.

He turned my naturally black hair into the perfect cherry-cola shade with no bleach. He told me it would look more red in the sun and more toned down indoors, and that’s exactly how it came out. He was also upfront about pricing before we started, which I really appreciated.

Steve and the other stylist working that day were both so kind and clearly knew what they were doing. They washed my hair three times to get as much of the red dye bleeding out as possible, and Steve even took me outside after to show me the colour in the sun. He also gave me a trim and left my hair feeling so healthy and polished.

The price was better than most places I was quoted, but the service was even better. My hair looks glossy, healthy, and exactly how I wanted it. Thank you, Steve and Carousel! I’ll definitely be back :)“
