The experience includes hot leaf massage and the use of sauna hats, which keep hair dry and comfortable. Many find it hard to describe the feeling created by the movement of hot air using leaves or the relaxation achieved afterward. Really difficult to explain this extraordinary experience at Hot Rock Spa. Carp. My husband and I booked the luxury couple's package with the 30 minute massages at the end. We were treated to 3.5 hours of deep relaxation and sauna bliss under the caring, professional and knowledgeable guidance of our host and sauna master, Alex. It is rare to find an experience that goes above and beyond what one would expect and to get such bang for your buck. From the moment we walked through the gate into the private sauna area, we were transported to another time and place. The setting is so beautiful and quiet that you forget you are in Carp and not in some farway European spa. I think what stood out to us most, as fledgling sauna go-ers, is the high standard of professionalism and detailed explanations as to what we would be doing/ experiencing. Alex was excellent and accomodating. We will return and will highly recommend to others. Thank you Alex and team!
I took my husband to Hot Rock Spa (we had the luxury couples package without adding on a moisturising massage) and it was a wonderful experience, unlike anything we've done before. It's hard to describe the feeling of hot air movement created using bunches of leaves, or the level of relaxation after a hot leaf massage. And the sauna hats were great - no sweaty hair! Would we do it again? Totally.
The Hot Rock Spa was a great venue choice for my recent birthday party. A unique setting, with friendly staff and a private party room where we were able to bring in our own food and beverages. The sauna room and leaf treatment were fun, as my friends and I chatted and learned about the tradition and its benefits. We were there on a night that was -21, and moving from hot to cold and back was not uncomfortable. Do say yes to having a bucket of water thrown on you! Thank you HRS for a memorable event.
