Update: Mandy, the office manager, called me back the very next morning to apologize for the situation and was so very kind! I also had to call again as my new puppy was having an issue and they got her some medication and moved up her next appointment. I feel they have gone above and beyond making this situation right and really caring for my puppies and cats. Thank you!
I would love to give 5 stars for the vet techs and the vets - they are so kind and attentive to our pets needs. We recently got 2 new puppies and I had made their first appointment for them a few weeks out, but then I discovered one had worms and I called panicking and they were so kind to get me in that same day. The very next weekend one of the puppies was not feeling well and we just walked in on a Sat at 11 and they took care of my sick pup and sent us home with what we needed and told us where to go in case of an emergency over the weekend. I was very impressed! So much so that we scheduled an appointment for all 3 of our cats. I scheduled the appointment at their office and told them I am a teacher and that I needed an appointment after 4 and they found the first available and we booked that and left thinking all was well.
Fast forward to the cats appointment day and we show up and the lady at the front desk was very brusque and preceded to tell me that she only had 2 of my cats scheduled at 4pm and that we were no-shows for the 3rd cat’s appointment which was scheduled that morning at 9:15. I told her that we had never scheduled a 9:15 appointment (why would I want to take off work and come twice when only one appointment was needed?) and that there must have been a mistake and she basically insisted that it was my fault and my husband’s fault because he is the one who got the text reminders and should have noticed the mistake of the 9:15 appointment and then called to change it. I tried to tell her we did not examine the messages, we got 3 reminders for the 3 appointments we had made and never thought to look for a mistake. I finally just told her that she will not speak to me in such a manor and that I did not make that appointment and then I was going to request someone else to help me and that’s when she very rudely asked if I wanted to speak with someone and I said yes I do. As she got up she turned to the two vet assistants who were sitting on either side of her and said you guys are my witnesses that this was not on me and I want you guys to make that clear. When she left the room the poor vet assistants looked extremely uncomfortable and apologized to me. Eventually she sent a vet tech to speak with me about the situation, but is a vet tech really anyone of authority? I highly doubt it. I will be calling tomorrow to speak to an office manager or owner tomorrow.
Once in the room one of the assistants apologized again and explained that a new lady had made my appointment and she probably just made a mistake, which is completely understandable but berating a customer and blaming them for their mistake is not good business practice.
Overall the rest of the appointment was great and the doctors were very kind. They took care of our cats and were engaged with the cats and us. I can’t say one bad thing about that part of the appointment.
I just believe that I am a paying customer who should be treated with basic kindness. My bill was over $500 for that visit and to be spending that much money to be treated like shit upon walking in the door is very off-putting and a bad business. After I call, hope that this will be successfully managed so that no other unsuspecting customers have to deal with this same kind of issue.

So grateful for their help! My dog was in an accident and they worked me in and took care of her quickly! All of the staff was very kind and helpful explaining everything!! The front desk was incredible as well.

Dr didn't even lay a hand on the dog for any examination! Overcharged for a blood draw that they said didnt read on their machine and wanted us to come back for them to redo Monday and send to outside facility and charge us another exam fee! They were suppose to xray and never did that either. We also asked about the medication they wanted to replace the old meds with, they said it was cheaper, it cost us $156 compared to $95 !? Really?! Wow! 2 hrs of waiting and the only thing they accomplished was costing us time and money, no results, and no answers.

Very rude! I actually got hung up on when trying to get dewormer and flea medicine for my animals. They refused to treat my animals without being seen. Which would have cost me over $1000. I would understand if this vet had never seen my animals before but they have. I went to Atwood’s instead!!! I understand if my animals were sick or needed shots but no I should be able to call my vet for flea treatment and dewormer without an office visit. I will never go to that vet clinic again.

Had our dogs teeth cleaned. The dog did well and the teeth looked great! Very reasonable prices compared to elsewhere. I have been a customer of another veterinarian in the area for 26 years, but the service and people at West Yukon Animal Hospital have won me over. Future services for my dogs will be here.

In my opinion one of the best clinics, vets and staff. Dr. Roach treats your pets with dignity and love. Lost my 5 yr old Boxer mix to bone cancer last Thursday. He felt good enough to do this one last time. Rest in peace

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our sweet dog of 16 years to sleep, and I cannot thank this veterinary team enough for their compassion. They got us in quickly and made an incredibly painful moment as peaceful and gentle as possible. The staff treated us—and our baby—with such care and respect. We felt seen, heard, and supported throughout the entire process. I’m so grateful for the kindness they showed during one of the hardest days of our lives. Thank you for giving our beloved Autum a calm and loving goodbye.
