I have been using these guys for over ten years to keep my 41 year old AC going. I think the first visit was to clean the coils. Then replace the capacitor (9 years ago). Then replaced the motor and recharge. (4 years ago). Then yesterday to replace the capacitor. They charge a reasonable service charge and fair price for parts. They never try to upsell or tell me my unit needs replaced.
Called Rainbow two weeks ago when the blower motor went out on my 40 year old (but still good) Lennox gas furnace. Other HVAC companies told me, without even looking at it, that they would likely have to replace the furnace due to the age. Rainbow worked within our available time constraints and came out, examined the unit thoroughly and determined that the burners were still fine and it just needed the blower motor. They gave me the option of waiting several days to order in genuine Lennox or getting and oem replacement locally which we opted for.
