I’m her brother. I’m not pregnant. But she is the person that got me into moving my body. I love her and her beautiful nest.

Came to Yoga Nest for prenatal yoga and cannot say enough good things about Kat and what I’ve gained from this class in preparation of my second baby. I always look forward to going every week. She is so knowledgeable about not just yoga but birth. If you are pregnant, this class is a must to prepare your body and make you feel more at ease and confident going into your birthing experience!

This is my favorite class to take! I’ve taken Kat’s prenatal yoga class with all 3 of my pregnancies and have had great experiences with all of them. Highly recommend!!

I’ve done yoga with Kat since the beginning of my pregnancy. I love connecting with my baby, learning new stretches, and learning new breathing techniques to prep for labor. It’s nice to connect with other mommas too! Kat is really nice, super chill, and very informative!

I love Yoga Nest, because I love taking classes from Kat. I've been in her prenatal yoga class for about eight weeks now, and it is fantastic. It's the right pace for us preggos, and the right atmosphere, to get us ready to be mommies. Yoga Nest is one of the outposts of Karen Prior's successful "Momastae" prenatal yoga methodology, and Kat is an easygoing, relaxed instructor. Even though I did not practice with any regularity before, there hasn't been any move or pose I wasn't able to do by observing Kat. Because the class is small - it maxes out at eight people - you are close enough to the teacher to see exactly what she is doing. She also talks just the exact right amount - not too much, but enough that you feel you know what's going on. The space itself is nothing to write home about. It's not beautiful or perfect, but then, neither am I. I'll be sad when I can't still take class from Kat, as at least for now she only teaches pre-natal. I think my favorite thing though is something Kat says during relaxation. She has us visualize welcoming our babies into the world, and then she tells us to imagine telling the baby that while we look forward to their arrival, we look forward to welcoming him or her "whenever and however" he or she arrives. I love that, because I think there is such a tendency to get caught up in a "birth plan" when there is really so little you can control when it comes right down to it, especially if things get scary at all. So I love that every week leading up to the birth of my baby, I'm getting this little reminder that I can only do as much as I can do, but part of it is up to the baby or the universe or whomever to do the rest. I'm thankful to Kat and Karen for this important, fun, relaxing part of my pregnancy. It is something I will always remember.

I have begun taking a prenatal yoga class (called Mamaste) here once a week with Kat. The facility is small, but so are the class sizes, so it keeps it personal. I have only had two so far, but I have enjoyed them a lot. I have never really been someone into yoga, so I was a little skeptical that I wouldn't get into it, but I was dead wrong. When I leave class, that is the most loose and relaxed I feel at anytime during the week. Pregnancy evidently comes with a lot of aches and pains and the stretching and relaxation have really been a huge relief to me, especially going after work because I work in a job that can be very high stress some days. The Yoga Nest itself is conveniently located and easy to get to. There is also plenty of parking right outside. If you find a class being offered here that appeals to you, I would urge you to give it a try.
