Spent four years with Grand Master Cho, from 2012 to 2016 - I taught at the Norman YMCA for over ten years. Both daughters are 3rd degree black belts. My current rank is 5th degree and I've been back for 7 months - the 5 year gap was spent in Midland, Texas where I became very out of shape and over weight. I've lost 20 pounds, my flexibility and balance is much better and I've regained my black belt forms knowledge. These classes are not cheap, and if the student will stick with it, Taekwondo will change your life. Grand...read full review
My daughter has excelled in this place. Not meant as a drop your kid off and forget. It is also the parents choice to allow your child to test for the next level. My daughter used to fall a sleep at a previous dojo. It is true, that the real learning or refining happens when you become a black belt. Most people stop when they get the first black belt, that is where the refinement begins. My daughter has become much better.
We are a family of five, and our three children started at Tiger Cho’s about six years ago. We tried another school before coming here, and it was a definite no go. One class with Master Cho and we were in! He is an excellent teacher who gives all of his attention to the students and their progress. My husband and I started about one year later. I can tell you, I never thought at our age, (late 40’s and late 50’s), we could do something like this, but we have both received our 1st Dan black belts, and we’re on our way to 2nd Dan. Our children ages 11, 14, and 17, are on their way to 3rd Dan! I absolutely love that we’ve done this as a family.
