About J.W. Mashburn Homes
J.W. Mashburn Homes is a builder known for creating custom and quality homes, with many clients praising their honesty, integrity, and willingness to accommodate special requests. They work closely with clients to customize floor plans and add personal touches, making the building process smooth and enjoyable, especially for first-time homebuyers. The team, including realtors, is recognized for being friendly, responsive, and helpful, guiding clients through selecting lots and designs with ease. However, some reviews mention issues with construction quality. One homeowner expressed disappointment with the concrete work on their four-year-old home, citing cracks in the driveway, patio, and side pad. There were also problems with backyard electrical lines and irrigation system damage caused during sidewalk construction, which affected the home's functionality. This has raised concerns about the quality control of some aspects of their builds. On the positive side, clients highlight the homes' overall beauty and great quality. They appreciate the responsiveness of the team when addressing problems after move-in, with repairs handled promptly. Neighbors also praise the community for being a wonderful place to live, although some note ongoing construction of amenities like a playground and swimming pool, which has caused some inconvenience due to increased traffic. Overall, J.W. Mashburn Homes is recognized for their custom approach, friendly service, and beautiful homes, though some concerns about construction quality and community amenities remain.
Whoever they subbed to pour concrete at our 4-year-old home, did an absolutely horrible job. There are multiple cracks over ten feet long in the driveway already, one across the side pad, and one straight all the way across the middle of the back patio. And don't even get me started on the backyard electrical line that (nobody) oversaw. We have a continuous mound 80 feet long and the side corridors of the home are so narrow it's 100% impossible to get even a mini skid steer or other equipment into the yard without taking down a neighbor's fence panel for access (I've measured and verified). Oh, and the sidewalk contractor for our street had driven two framing wooden stakes...read full review

Worked with Norman building a new house in Deer Brook neighborhood. He was FANTASTIC! He always did whatever we wanted! We added a lot of custom things, and customized our floor plan. A lot of builders won’t let you add the custom things we wanted, but Norman was always willing to do anything. Norman is the most honest builder, and has such great integrity. This was our first time building a home, and we would do it again and again with Norman. We’ve officially been in the house almost a week, and everything is near perfect! If something isn’t, Norman fixes it in a heartbeat! We highly recommend J.W Mashburn building! I’ve heard the other builder Jess is fantastic...read full review
