About Toledo Zoo
Toledo Zoo offers a captivating experience filled with the beauty of nature and diverse wildlife. Visitors can explore various exhibits, such as the stunning Arctic Encounter featuring polar bears and the vibrant African Savanna with giraffes, zebras, and tigers. The Aviary is a highlight, showcasing colorful birds from around the world. The zoo emphasizes conservation and education through informative sessions and initiatives aimed at preserving endangered species. The zoo is easy to walk through, making it convenient for visitors of all ages. Children will enjoy the adorable kids' section and seasonal activities like Christmas lights that go above and beyond. Many visitors appreciate the well-thought-out habitats and enrichment activities for the animals, though some exhibits are small, and parts of the park aren’t very scenic. The aquarium and poison dart frog area are popular attractions, offering fun for families and individuals alike. Food options are reasonably priced, with some treats like cornbread being noted as good, even if occasionally cold. Despite some minor issues with signage and exhibit size, many recommend purchasing a family pass to enjoy rides, seasonal events, and the variety of animal displays, making it a worthwhile destination for families.
The Toledo zoo is a great adventure for the whole family. They provide a absolutely amazing display of holiday lights. They have an enjoyable train ride. Along with a carousel located next to the train entrance. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Also, the aquarium is definitely one of my favorite spots to go with the kids.
Have been many times but this time was for the lights before christmas. The decorations were great, I really enjoyed the slide and Santa's village they had set up but I do wish we had come at a less busy time. This zoo does such a good job caring for its animals and providing a fun, learning environment for the family. We have taken the kids every year, and every year there are new things to do. Its also a great place for a day date with the spouse!
Went for the Christmas lights and it was a fair experience. No animals, even the polar bear was hiding 😅 You have to pay extra for any attraction you want to do, carousel, sledding hill, etc. Probably wont go again next year. I dont think its worth it for the price.
