Capabilities is the largest private direct employment services provider in Ohio, connecting people with disabilities to help them find and keep employment. Started in 1997, it serves people in over three-fourths of the state. It is sought after for comprehensive services, a focus on supported employment, flexible personalized service, an optimistic corporate culture, and one-on-one customer service. Clients describe amazing and patient driving instructors who explain how to improve very well. For someone permanently disabled, Capabilities appeared to offer restoration through action. They provide kind and gentle encouragement, walking with clients and offering services and programs that are just what is needed. Clients report that the folks at Capabilities genuinely care about people, and it shows in the results. Clients feel grateful for the help in finding their way forward.

One day I was happy, employed and enjoying my life. The next moment, I was being extricated from my mangled car sitting on a sidewalk. Permanently disabled, no longer to do the job I loved, in constant pain, and sometimes dipping into despair, Capabilities appeared. I'm young (ok, not that young) and wanted to restore my life to some symbolism of what I once had. Capabilities first realized where I was emotionally and physically and crafted a plan of restoration through action. Kind and gentle encouragement coupled with the cap"ABILITIES" to walk with me until I could find my way, they offered services and programs that were just what I needed. My journey is far from over actually, it is just beginning, and I look forward to each step. The folks at Capabilities genuinely care about people and it shows in the results we are all able to achieve because of them! I am, and forever will be, GRATEFUL!!!!! Thank you all so much!
