Resting place to many family members of mine, including maternal grandparents, some of my paternal and maternal great-grandparents, and many other extended family members. I am sure there are both known and unknown family members here. My wife has family here, too.Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. And may the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.Let us also pray for an increase in vocations to the Visitation Sisters, whose convent borders the cemetery, and whose prayers for our friends and relatives we are thankful for.

The monuments with the photos attached are surreal. It’s weird thinking about looking into the person’s eyes you’re standing over. I like that added bit of personalization though. It makes you realize that these are indeed people rather than staying so numb to the thought after being through so many cemeteries.

An amazing place, though it has a bad reputation. It is very well kept up, however it is huge so do not expect everything to be perfect. A true treasure is the mausoleum, stunning on the inside, and the nearby convent and parish as well. Don't forget the clergy monument with the crucifixion statue and keep your eyes open a surprise is on every turn! Do not be worried about safety, over the past few years the area has really gentrified, and the people you see in the cemetery are usually very friendly.
