I had to take my daughter there while staying at cedar point and they were absolutely amazing. Can’t thank them enough!

Sent my 2 year old daughter home while she was in DKA. It took 2 more days and a follow up call from her family doctor for them to take this seriously when we came back?!?! (Didn’t know she was in DKA as this was a new diagnosis but I was very CLEARLY ignored when I kept advocating something was wrong with my child).

I was told it was busy and patients are triaged. No- you guys were busy overlooked a medical emergency in a 2 year old and almost killed my child. We’ve been in PICU for DAYS because “busy” in this ER means “get the people out faster after making them waiting in the lobby 4+ hours”

Irate isn’t even the word to begin to describe how angry I am.

Went in 2 days ago for a respiratory infection. Got meds prescribed. After taking the meds my stomach was in a lot of pain and I called in to see if I should go for more tests. Didn't get that far. They hung up on me.

Myeisha, one of the nurses in 1 South, was the worst nurse there. She had an attitude, was very mean, very rude, shooed me away several times, and overall acted like she hated her job. 1 South is for depressed, suicidal etc. people who are trying to get better and when you have a nurse like her, it makes things worse for the patients.

This emergency room has not been making me very happy lately. But I was there early Saturday morning to rule out cardiac episode. (No heart trouble, thanks for caring!) They were prompt, professional, empathetic, and seemed very much to care about stabilizing me and getting me home. My nurses were Laquita and Liz. Both were great. Laquita was a blast too and made me happy even though I felt horrible. I hope these changes stick! If they don't I'll update this review!

This was my 1st visit to Firelands ER. We could not get into the family dr til Friday . The visit surpassed my expectations. We went in, the check in was fast and easy. We sat in the lobby for less then 10 minutes, and the lobby was full . We took my daughter in she just over 1 year, not sure if the process looks different for younger kids to take priority over other situations but I am greatful for how last night went. The nurse practitioner was amazing as well as the staff alongside her. She was quick and straight to the point she really knows her stuff and you can definitely see the passion in her work. Thank you Courtney.

Idk if I walked into a parallel universe or what, but I'm in the hospital right now and I'd be hard pressed to think of a better time in a hospital let alone Firelands. The er staff was amazing. Very attentive and great bedside manner. HOWEVER, the ICU staff knocked my socks off, put em back on and knocked em off again. They went above and beyond to treat me. Caring. Concerned. Fast and effective treatment. I had tears of relief and joy in my eye🥹we laughed. We cried. We played guess my fart. I have to shout out these wonderful Healthcare workers that gave me hope that maybe I won't be another case that slipped through the cracks. Here we go: Jess Stoll was my nurse. Very caring and stalwart in her convictions as a nurse. Ashlynn Legg (Shartlynn) was a very good fart guesser. She could go pro. Kaitlyn Hermes was so gentle stabbing my veins and made sure I was comfortable. Kyle the Beard was awesome just for the beard alone. Im sure he played a vital role in my care, but I was too medically incapacitated to know for sure. Love the beard bro. Finally Dr. Emran. He LISTENED to me and formulated a plan on the spot to get the treatment I have been seeking since November. I was and still am shocked at the speed and tenacity of the night crew. The day crew here in icu aren't slouchy either. Firelands has restored my hope. Given me a light at the end of the tunnel and this time I don't believe that light to be the one that calls us all home. Y'all made a new friend with this trip. I will bend over backwards to help any one of them as soon as my back is fixed. At the rate they're going that's faster than ANY Healthcare team I've dealt with in my life. ❤ yous guys and gals🥰🥰thank you so much

Went in because of severe panic attacks all day, the Dr working that night insisted on getting me started on anxiety meds. Told me I could go home and he'd write me a few days worth to get through the weekend but encouraged me to stay overnight to talk to a counselor in the morning.
I told him I wanted to go home to see my dog he said that that was okay and my choice and while I was waiting to leave a nurse came in and told me both her and the DR didn't feel comfortable sending me home until I spoke to a counselor in person when they arrived in the morning. They gave me meds to pass out until the morning and the morning doc did not see me or send me home with anything at all. Nothing was done for the anxiety, I spoke to someone for 2 mins on the phone and was sent home w/ a packet on adult depression which was not the issues I came in for at all.
I've barely been able to leave the house for weeks because of the severity of these attacks which are humiliating to have in public as a 26 year old. The DR working at night had me feeling somewhat optimistic they were going to help to make a long term plan and help out w/ meds until I could get there. The Dr in the morning declined to speak to me, didn't see or want to know anything about the severity of the panic attacks.
I'm sure this was a matter of miscommunication but just leaving the house at this point and asking for help w/ these severe anxiety attacks is a feat all on its own. I basically got a huge bill for an er visit for nothing.
When I called in to ask if the same Dr was working tonight the following day the lady on the phone said that's confidential which I understand but when I said they were pushy about me staying the night when I said I didn't want to she gaslit me and said that never happens and didn't happen because anyone is allowed to leave whenever they want.
I've had 3 severe panic attacks since leaving the emergency room alone and its barely Sunday. I won't be able to talk to a normal DR until Monday and the referral I have to give her from the ER is for a completely different issue than what I went in for which I'm worried is going to effect the meds I'm already on that actually help :(
The meds they gave me Friday night helped quite a bit and the DR was kind to figure out my root issue but I wish he relayed that to the morning doc on call because now I'm back where I started with a huge bill I can't afford since these panic attacks are preventing me from leaving the house let alone holding a job.

Their ER is awful. I presented with severe vomiting and headache and they tried to put me on a psych hold. I left and drove 30 minutes to the next closest hospital, throwing up the whole way.
